D&D 5E Why do you multiclass?

Seems unnecessary given that feats, backgrounds, and subclasses all offer great depth to single-class characters.

D&D 5E How do you regain INT after an Intellect Devourer attack?

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. The side quest is a great idea but not an option in the setting. I'll certainly allow the auto-pass divine intervention--"The party gathers around you in a quandary. One of them compassionately wipes the drool from your mouth. Unthinking, an utterance--a...

D&D 5E How do you regain INT after an Intellect Devourer attack?

Yes, for the players this first encounter was just the tip of the ice berg. Where they're going they will encounter many many more intellect devourers. I'm going to get the Cleric back on his feet and let the part have a long rest so they can take stock of the situation and put some plans in...

D&D 5E How do you regain INT after an Intellect Devourer attack?

One other cleric but he is multiclass so lacks the spell level. The attack, in this case successful, reduces the INT to 0 and the target is "stunned" according to the 5th ed. MM. My googlfu is weak but I think I'll have to houserule some sort of gradual recovery.

D&D 5E How do you regain INT after an Intellect Devourer attack?

I have a 13th level Cleric who is sitting in a puddle of his own drool with an INT of 0 after coming off the wrong end of a run in with an intellect devourer. Lucky for him the party killed the little thing before it could finish the job. Does INT return after a long rest, short rest, a point...

How 3D Printing is Upending the Miniature Industry

Nice article. The quality of 3D printers is generally low at the moment so it's no surprise to see terrain as the favored, most viable offering. The development of this technology over the next 24 months will be huge I suspect. Also, too lazy to dig up but in one of the previous annual...

D&D 5E Who wrote these CRs?

At medium and high levels CR certainly appear incapable of indicating to a DM whether or not an encounter will be a "worthy challenge" to a party. The encounter guidelines do not fix this but rather contribute to the expectation that CRs are meaningful/useful.

    Define "worthy challenge"?

D&D 5E Who wrote these CRs?

People need to stop saying that encounter frequency is the cure. Running 6-8 encounters per session is a terrible grind and puts severe limitations on role-playing and interactions with NPCs. The other solution, to do a few encounters per session but stretch out long rests is another bad idea...
