D&D 5E The Dolphin Delighter is a Teleporting, Telepathic Dolphin

Maybe it's just me, but "Dolphin Delighter" sounds like something that delights dolphins. "Delighter Dolphin" sounds more like a dolphin that delights. Either way, I'm scratching my head.

Pathfinder Lost Omens: Grand Bazaar & Monsters of Myth Review

I was skimming the Monsters of Myth book the other day and became very frustrated. Most of the entries don't give you an explanation of what the creature is until four pages in. For example, the Grogrisant entry starts on page 30, but it isn't until page 34 that you get this sentence...

Stocking Stuffers: Dice Ideas for Every Class

I'm not sure I agree that dice "aren't cheap anymore." There are lots and lots of inexpensive dice available. There are lots of good quality Chessex sets available at very reasonable prices.

    Worlds of Design: Stratagems

I'm confused by this article and the response. A stratagem is "a plan, scheme, or trick for surprising or deceiving an enemy." (Feel free to look it up yourself if you don't believe me.) Schemes and tricks have existed for as long as intelligent life has existed. The author of the original...

    Game Design Masterclass – 2D20

I wouldn't say it's used for pretty much all of Modiphius's games. It's not used for Forbidden Lands or Tales From the Loop.

D&D General The Sad Tale of a HeroForge Death Knight

Man, that is a sad story.

RPG Crowdfunding News – DEATH IN SPACE, Sin, AFFINITY, and more

I'm intrigued by Death in Space, but confused by the somewhat vague description. What is the overlap between 2001: A Space Odyssey and Alien? Or maybe, what elements of each does this game try to emulate? People dying in space? I'm being a little silly, but I am genuinely curious. Is it like...

RPG Evolution: Making It in the RPG Industry

Hey, just FYI, your math is wrong in a couple of places. If DriveThruRPG takes 35% of your $135,000, that's $47,250 they take, not $35,000. If you want to have $100,000 left after they take their 35%, you need to make about $153,846.

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2nd Edition 'Age of Ashes' AP: Hellknight Hill

I'm surprised there is no "Part 1 of 6" anywhere on the cover.

    D&D 5E Strongholds & Followers: A Review

Just a note that some people (like me) don't know what "Kingdoms & Warfare" is, and the article refers to it with no explanation. I'm guessing it's another book by Colville. Is it out now, too? Is it coming later in 2019?

Official D&D Sage Advice Compendium Updated

In my experience, Relentless Endurance creates a fun play experience, while villains that can kill a PC with a single spell do not. So, I'm all for Relentless Endurance.

    Sage Advice Compendium Update 1/30/2019

In my experience, Relentless Endurance creates a fun play experience, while villains that can kill a PC with a single spell do not. So, I'm all for Relentless Endurance.

Hobby Games: It Was a Very Good Year

I'm glad to hear that D&D is doing so well. I just have one quibble with the article. The mention of the Platinum Edition of Dragon Heist seems out of place, since we have no data on how well it has sold. The fact that one company is taking a risk and offering an expensive item is not proof...

Staring Directly Into the Invisible Sun -- A Review

Yes. This. 100%. This is a review of the game components, not the game. This is life in the Kickstarter era, people buying beautiful games that they never play. Surely someone here at EN World has played the game. Any thoughts or comments on what it is like?

Starfinder Paizo News Roundup: Starfinder Alien Archive 2, Rune Drive Gambit, Pathfinder Runeplague

Another Starfinder creature book is welcome, but it's irritating how thin these books are. You could combine Alien Archive 1 and 2 and I think you would still have less content than the first Pathfinder Bestiary. I'd rather have half as many Starfinder books and have them each be twice as big as...

News Digest: Pathfinder/Starfinder Adventure Paths Announced, New D&D Classic Module Conversion, Jud

Yes, the article is incorrect. The Return of the Runelords adventure path was *announced* a long time ago, probably at Gen Con 2017. It was *released* this week. Got my copy in the mail yesterday.

The Castlevania Chronicles – D&D Edition

There was also a nice 3.5 hardcover called Expedition to Castle Ravenloft.

In Search of the World of Greyhawk

Such a canonic place does exist! The early printings of B1 gives some suggested locations in the World of Greyhawk setting. Interestingly enough, later printings omit it. The Goodman Games volume Into the Unknown reprints the second printing (monochrome cover) and sixth printing (brown cover)...

The Next Dungeons & Dragons Storyline Will Be...

That's a strange picture. Check out the d10s. They're both numbered "00, 10, 20, 30..." whereas the actual set will presumably have one that's numbered "0, 1, 2, 3..." And is one of the d20s actually significantly larger than the other, or is that some weird perspective trick? I'm confused.
