It seems Spycraft 3rd Edition is starting to make some tremors soon. It'll be interesting to see what ideas it will bring to this kind of discussion.

I have this book if you have any specific questions. It's very nicely done, but there are some concepts that are kind of hokey, like a Noble Animal Ranger can have a humanoid companion.

You might be comparing Melee (STR bonus) vs Ranged (DEX) bonus.

I agree with this. If True20 was still getting support like d20 Modern has been, there'd be no comparison for me. There are a couple of True20 adventures that have appeared in the last couple of years- mostly written for several systems, True20 being one of them.

Seems like there's still stuff coming out for it from 3rd party on DriveThruRPG. My interest has rekindled a bit.

I'm interested. There's got to be a market for it. Seems like there's new 3rd party stuff still coming out for d20 Modern these days.

Is this a limited edition? Will supplies be running out quicker than various core rule books? I'm considering picking this up, but wonder if urgency should be a factor in my decision making...

I was just pondering the opposite- d20 to Top Secret/S.I. More specifically, I'd like to try to convert some of those mini-settings for d20 Modern (from the Polyhedron magazines) into Top Secret/S.I. - Mecha Crusade and HiJinx really. Pulp is already pretty much done with Agent 13.

I was just re-reading the vehicle chase rules in the Spycraft 1.0 rules which seem pretty simple to port over. Legend of Korra is so great. There seems to be a wide range of quality in the automobiles presented in the show.

I agree. This is a system I've discovered in the last couple of years. I'm interested in developing an espionage setting for the system.
