    Start Your Journey Into Symbaroum

Ugh. Can't folks just accept a game on it's own merits? It's like saying "Look at that Ferrari. I hope they make a Ford version". There are excellent games out there that aren't 5e. Try them. You might like them.

D&D 5E D&D PODCASTS: Any good Podcasts out there for DMs?

Nope, not just you. Whenever a guest on AA makes even the smallest joke, you can hear him slapping his leg in the background. Makes me roll my eyes so hard I give myself a headache. But the guy's a brilliant DM and very insightful about the art of playing/running a game so it's easy to forgive.

D&D 5E D&D PODCASTS: Any good Podcasts out there for DMs?

My pleasure. To give a little more detail on Dungeon Master's Block... They have a variety of series: they do a straight up GM advice series, a how to incorporate lore (mostly Forgotten Realms) series, a worldbuilding series, a monster spotlight series... etc. And they bring in guests, much...

D&D 5E D&D PODCASTS: Any good Podcasts out there for DMs?

Dungeon Master's Block is good. Dungeon Master of None can be good when they're not trying to show how cooler-than-you they are. Fear the Boot is focused on TTRPG-ing in general, but there's a lot for a new or experienced DM/GM to take away from their discussions. Adventuring Academy is by...

Level Up (A5E) Level Up: An Art Preview

That's a lot of words to not have any punctuation. You're criticizing Level Up for... what? Taking a different approach to 5e? Doing monsters a little differently and using different art? I don't get your point. Use the monsters in Level Up or don't. Use Sandy Peterson's versions or don't. Use...

D&D 5E New D&D Hardcover To Be Announced On The 23rd (Tomorrow)?

Latest episode of DragonTalk podcast hinted strongly at a new setting. Something to the effect of: "Someone better run a game of this for me, and soon!"

Really am excited for this. My daughter and I have cycled through all three seasons twice now, and we're talking about watching again. It's a rich world with great potential for exploration and homebrewing.

Ruins of Symbaroum [5E] - The Promised Land: An Interview With Free League Publishing

The original game's rules are d20 in nature, but they were designed to fit the setting. Setting came first and it shows. If you want to get your players on board to play this game, even the 5e conversion, start with the description of the setting. Read them the entirety of page 7 of the...

Owen KC Stephens' Tabletop RPG Truths #4

Not sure why. He said "can". "Can" leaves room for those who can't.
