I'd agree, I think it looks like a good idea.

I like the idea, but many of these attacks seem underpowered. For example, kindle death does a d6 + con (which changes to 2d8 +wis at 21st. Intentional die and modifier change or typo?) whereas eldrich blast does 1d10 + con or char. Also the lvl one daily is similar to flames of phlegathos only...

This seems like a good idea, what about lines that are more then 1 square wide?

Looks good, I like the idea. I especially like the rituals that create devices that you can carry with you and use easily.

What if you allowed one moderate rest per milestone? If they work like a short rest they would not erase milestones. This could add an incentive to collect milestones, as doing so would not necessarily mean not regaining healing surges and daily powers, as well as preventing players from taking...
