D&D 5E VTT, Looking for Advice

Fantasy Grounds has all the published 5e content available. You don't have to buy it to use it, you can always enter everything yourself but it saves a lot of time entering data and scanning in images/maps. There is also a lot of Savage Worlds content in Fantasy Grounds that you can buy. You...

D&D 5E Are You Planning on Subscribing to D&D Beyond

There will be Android and iOS apps that will be offline. I don't know if there will be an offline desktop app though. Someone asked that on the DnDB forums but there was no response from the developers last time I looked. Edit: here's the post but it's over a day old so likely won't be any...

D&D 5E How Did You Get Used to Roll 20 or Fantasy Grounds?

Fair enough, but lots of people will buy into FG because they have the core books available, I know I did. It is a selling feature and not to be discounted. But overall I agree with you that everyone has different needs and has to decide what works best for them.

D&D 5E How Did You Get Used to Roll 20 or Fantasy Grounds?

A license of Fantasy Grounds comes with the D&D 5e SRD content as well as the D&D 5e Basic Rules, so you get a lot of D&D 5e content to start for no extra cost and can manually add in what is missing if you have the time/desire, all the automation is there as the 5e rule set and automation is...

D&D 5E How Did You Get Used to Roll 20 or Fantasy Grounds?

Something else that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread is that Fantasy Grounds supports lots of other rule sets officially too! I play Call of Cthulhu and there is a 7e rule set and lots of adventures, plus it converts older adventures into 7e so that opens up even more content. Then there...

[Updated] Who's Playing What On Fantasy Grounds? Final Stats For 2016!

I'm hoping to increase the Call of Cthulhu games just a wee bit this year as I start running next week and hopefully continue throughout the rest of the year. Not enough Cthulhu games being run that's for sure.

    D&D 5E Adventures in Middle-Earth - Rhovanion Region Guide

Possibly but nothing has been confirmed. Cubicle 7 did mention that there were a few items in various states of production so one of the next ones could be about Mirkwood. It's also likely that AiME will get similar products to what has been released for TOR since some of the work has already...

    D&D 5E Adventures in Middle-Earth - Rhovanion Region Guide

I was not aware that's how they released products, very good to know! Thank you!

    D&D 5E Adventures in Middle-Earth - Rhovanion Region Guide

http://cubicle7.co.uk/adventures-in-middle-earth-rhovanion-region-guide-pre-order-now/ Looks like a surprise announcement from Cubicle 7 for a new AiME product. On Google+ they mentioned that they are "building up quite a reserve of titles that are well progressed through production" so expect...

    D&D 5E Xanathar's Guide to Everything...

Apparently I don't read enough of these forums. And from what you say it appears I'm not missing anything either. Personally I don't see how 5e is failing, it's in the top sales spot of Amazon every week, but if people like other systems that's great, hopefully they'll take me in for a one-shot...

    D&D 5E Xanathar's Guide to Everything...

It's totally due to the cover image. I mean look at it. A beholder is happy and relaxed watching their goldfish swimming around and enjoying life. Happy beholder, you live longer!

D&D 5E Tomb of Annihilation, Xanathar's Guide to Everything (and other products) now up for preorder on Amazon

I actually like the regular cover more than the special cover for Xanthar's. I just like the image of the beholder excitedly peering into a fish bowl. It makes me laugh.

D&D 5E Tomb of Annihilation, Xanathar's Guide to Everything (and other products) now up for preorder on Amazon

Well for us gamers in the north, Amazon.ca has both books listed but no dice and no battle matt: Tomb of Annahilation - Amazon.ca - $38.37 Xanathar's Guide to Everything - Amazon.ca - 38.37 Indigo/Chapters is also listing the two books, but for a wee bit more: Tomb of Annihilation -...

    D&D 5E So...Volo, Xanathar...who's next?

All good suggestions, I especially want a Van Richten's guide, if not more than one. But I think the obvious answer for the author of the next guide will be Uncle Trapspringer.

Looks really nice. Now I just have to find the time to play some Pathfinder.

    D&D 5E Roll20 vs Fantasy Grounds

Dramatic? Not sure what you mean by that but I think FG could be very useful when running at the table. My first thing I'd do is create characters for all your players and then you can run combat from the Combat Tracker. Just manually input the player's initiative rolls and it will order for...
