    Hmm, it's something to consider carefully. Making a realistic system seems to cause massive slowing or massive choice paralysis. Using other attributes has to be balanced for plausibility in such a way as it can be understood by all and rationalized to avoid those who'd naysay it.

    I think character should die at 0, and negative hit points shouldn't exist. When your skill is overcome you should be described as taking a wound so severe even magic can't save you in time. However, that's an easy house rule.

    I had said that some of us like more verisimilitude than others. You missed that part. However, that doesn't change the fact it's silly to argue history to somebody that has no care for it in their games. Especially in this case where the issue was which hp abstraction fit better.
