    Gah! Almost forgot and not sure if anyone else mentioned it....Elizabeth Moon, for the Paksenarrion books. Definitely solid fantasy fiction and especially "d&d worthy".

    That was SUCH a good comic. I'd rather have a one hundred more issues of Fell's Five than the pathfinder comic. The only thing that comes close is Rate Queens, from Image.

    I agree its not in same category as Tolkien, but I'm sure contemporaries thought Moorcock and Leiber were pulpy in their day :cool:

    David Gemmel and Steven Erikson. Gemmel's work may not seem like masterpieces to you, but to many others he's as relevant as Moorcock and Leiber. And Erikson...I don't know how the hell GRR is on tat last but Erikson is not. The Malazan series is more D&D relevant the anything in Westeros.

    I'm hoping having the book in hand will give me a better "solid" on the RANGER, as its my favorite class in any edition (pathfinder excluded). Though I'm not sure what else they can do for the class, and I cant tell if I'm underwhelmed in comparison to all the "toys" the other classes get...
