D&D 5E Can someone hide from multiple enemies?

I would agree that the PC may be hidden from A and seen by B and that pointing to the player might not inform A of the PC exact location but I would say that A is looking in the right direction to spot the PC now if any movement is made unless the PC is obstructed from view by a solid barrier.

D&D 5E Have you actually read the 5e DMG?

I'm pretty sure the rule as intended is that the DM can roll blanket initiative when convenient. If I (as the DM) want to be fancy, I can determine what my lot are doing and blanket roll initiative. I actually almost never do that as it makes combat quite dull and lowers the chances on...

D&D 5E Temple of Elemental Evil is the next Original Adventures Reincarnated

But, but, it was the golden pig and mines of Pandelver have a slight debt to it! Who knows, if they put it out I might just want to run it.

D&D General Do people like re-skinning?

All of my characters are the ignored ones from years ago.

D&D General How old are you?

"In Search of the Unknown" was my first D&D experience and the only minutes I have ever been a PC, all twenty of them.

D&D 5E Have you actually read the 5e DMG?

We find blanket initiative quite unintuitive and I blanket only when I must for brevities sake.

D&D General Do people like re-skinning?

I just reskinned both a Riding Lizard and a Pteranodon into the new(old) Massospondylus in the middle of a game as tonight I was allowing my players to pick the dinosaurs they were going to use while exploring the Isle of Dread, or the Polynesian paradise of Tymora as I have sold it to them...

    D&D 5E Session Zero Question.....

It all sounds excellent...and faintly creepy. No doubt this is the difference between the internet and the actual face-to-face game but I never need to ask people to speak up when they feel uncomfortable. I'll get around to just asking them. My session zero is usually over a meal (every game...

D&D General A campaign without classes that use magic?

Huh. That's not what I think was being postulated though. Only baddies have magic.

D&D 5E Have you actually read the 5e DMG?

Exactly. I read the entire book, including the ISBN number and little blurbs on the typeface used and then I might just read it again sometimes for fun. I read a lot.

D&D 5E Have you actually read the 5e DMG?

Cover to cover and is it ever a padding-filled slog with a well-nigh unusable index. The PHB is just barely better but you need to read both to understand the game and don't get me started on the assorted monster manuals and modules. I'm enjoying 5e but it sure as blazes isn't for the...

D&D General A campaign without classes that use magic?

It would still have to be quite a low-magic world or all humans would be under magic's heavy foot.

D&D General Worlds of Design: Is Fighting Evil Passé?

I just so happen to be re-reading LOTR (I seem to do that every decade or so) and he does make that point with Galadriel pretty clearly when Frodo offers her the ring.

Yeah, old Gary seems to have been a bit of an opinionated grump at times.

D&D 5E 2 year campaign down the drain?

You know, eight is a really big table to manage. Just by the law of averages, you are going to be ending up with players who's playing style doesn't jibe well with what you thought your campaign was going to be. I get the impression you feel the Drow Rogue player is a bit of a problem and that...

D&D General How old are you?

56, started in 1980 and still have a nearly full set of pale blue dice and the original blue box adventure "In Search of the Unknown". The dice are uncolored as we had no idea what the crayon was for.
