I prefer human only as I don't think having other races really adds anything to the game. Elves and Dwarves and such are just humans in rubber masks anyway, may as well just stick with just humans. I find players characterize more when they don't have "but I'm an Elf!" to fall back on.

My vote is to keep them as is! The extra damage is a way of extrapolating one of two things, the AP nature of firearms (because you can stop a knife thrust with your hand, but not a bullet), or to compensate for not getting STR bonus to damage (do firearms get DEX bonus to damage???). Anyway...

Well, I have never seen a point in listing specific weapons in a creatures stat block, except for natural weapons. Same for worn armour.

That's why I see no point to Alignment. If Orcs can be good, why bother listing then as evil?

I found it useful back when Orcs were monsters, there for the slaughter as they were savage and brutal and unrepentant. Now that Orcs are just humans in rubber masks, Alignment has no purpose. I think it might come in handy as a touchstone for new players to help them embody their PC better...
