D&D 5E [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

I think that they should run as well, but if it takes any attack against a target other than Derendil, they should get cover bonus. My opinion. ;)

Yeah, I was so excited when I saw the missed Dex check! ;)

"Sarith, leave it to the others to finish! Let's help Derendil and make sure that all of us can make it out alive!" We have Orsik, Eldeth, and Bertram going up next right? Have them finish that one off. Or conceivably, it will be up to Surana, if they all miss. ;)

D&D 5E [OOC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

For one of my games, I use max damage plus the entire damage roll again. (Chris Perkins uses this rule in the Acquisitions Incorporated game.) Adding, the static bonuses only once. This makes crits much more dangerous, on both sides. It certainly makes it satisfying to roll a crit. That being...

Ezraen slings another stone at the Horror in front! [roll0] [roll1] Then he scoots as far forward as possible...

I can just see Lathander and some Lloth playing chess, with Moradin looking over the Sunlord's shoulder back-seat chess-ing! XD

I guess it's just a difference of storytelling philosophy, which is why I asked. I tend to make critical hits worth more than just double damage, because it is exciting to roll a crit (especially if it is a natural 20). Anyway, I figured it was at least worth asking. :)

Holy crap! Crit! Could I sacrifice the extra damage to have it take one of its claws off? If not, here is the extra damage... [roll0]

After the flurry of attacks go off, Ezraen calls out, "Focus fire on the higher one, and see if we can't cause it to fall on the lower one!"

D&D 5E [IC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

Okay, if I cannot see any other target, I am going to attack. That was more a descriptive thing. I didn't think that a Perception check was an actual action, but I am fine with just using Passive.

Just waiting to say, Clever girl... :p I assume that 12 was not enough to see any other of the Horrors. Hoping to maybe knock the Hook Horror free, Ezraen launches the sling stone! [roll0] [roll1]
