    D&D 5E spells for a mage-hunting sorcerer?

Definitely silence, first spell I thought of for taking down casters (followed by counter spell/dispel magic) I'm surprised only one other person mentioned it. A bunch of the other spells posters mentioned can be good too. For cantrips detect magic and one of the scag melee-magic cantrips are a...

D&D 5E Tuckers Kobolds 5E AKA You Little Bastards!!!

These two are really good posts, and more inline with the spirit of Tucker's kobolds than most of the other posts. The point of Tucker's kobolds is what fear you can give players and how much you can overwhelm them (so on and so forth) WITHOUT giving them bonuses, i.e. no special powers or...

D&D 5E Feathergale Spire: The players want revenge!

That's Storm of Vengeance (fairly appropriate name in this circumstance) First it deafens you and your companions within 360 ft. radius and causes thunder damage, then it rains acid upon you, next they can target you with lightning strikes, then a storm of hail bludgeoning you to death, and if...

D&D 5E Minor Illusion...can it be cast over other objects?

While I hear many DMs wouldn't I myself allow illusions to create apparent depth, examples being the above portal, or more commonly something like a pit in the ground the enemies would avoid.

    D&D 5E Barovia's world

Not a bug at all, the dark powers just want you to think it is. IT'S ALL A PART OF THEIR PLAN!!!

D&D 5E Minor Illusion...can it be cast over other objects?

    - I'm not really sure about mirrors, that's highly DM dependent and I'd have to see what the situation is if it were to come up in a campaign of mine. - You could create what looks like a portal, but you would choose what the other side looks like. Otherwise you could use it like a higher level...

    Sell me on the Warlock

I don't actually have a lot of experience with 5e rangers myself as I have yet to play one, this is merely what I know from what devs have said in certain articles/discussions with players. As far as making such things class features, it is constantly said that eldritch blast should have been a...

    Sell me on the Warlock

By balanced I'm talking about the designer's creating the classes and deciding what all abilities they should have and how powerful in order to balance that class with other classes. And it can be possible to create a ranger without HM, however it will be more difficult and as the designers...

    Sell me on the Warlock

Just thought I'd point out that .6*(11+8) =11.4 not 10.2 While it may not be fully equivalent to a class option, it is more than some random cantrip as the warlock was built and balanced around Eldritch Blast in the same way as ranger's were balanced based on hunter's mark.

    D&D 5E An Underdark Market

Svirfneblin are another race I would recommend using. They would be the main sellers of minerals, things carved/forged from said stone and minerals, etc. They might also have occasionally offer services such as magic rituals, scrolls, or something else along those lines involving earth elementals.

D&D 5E Fluffs or Feats? Your re-skinning thread

Another way you could essentially "re-fluff" the armor is to make it some sort of disc they wear with the god's blessing in it. It could be made of the same materials as whatever type of armor they would otherwise be using (thus still be vulnerable to things like rust monsters) you could have...

D&D 5E Warlock Higher Level Spellcasting: Too easy to counter/dispel or effective?

Warlock WITHOUT Eldritch Blast In the campaign I recently started I am playing the undying light warlock (blade) and actually didn't take Eldritch Blast instead using sacred flame as my at-will ranged cantrip and Green Flame Blade as my normal melee attack since I automatically can add CHA to...

D&D 5E The Soul of the Sorcerer

I agree with several of the above posters that a sorcerer's main thing is their magic is innate. Their magic is a part of them, like having a right arm is a part of you, it's a natural extension/part of themselves. I was a big of sorcerers knowing fewer spells but being able to cast those spells...

D&D 5E Player challange Vs Character challange (Metagaming)

I'm not really sure what you mean in the poll. I run it where it's based on character knowledge. That means you shouldn't know about the trap 15 feet in front of you based only on a previous run through of this adventure, or the exact weakness of some rare, unheard of monster. However most...

    Pathfinder 1E Continuing Gambler's Quest

A while back I ran through Gambler's Quest from the one on one adventure compendium (pathfinder) and we wanted to continue the story. Unfortunately the compendium doesn't have the next part of the quest and I haven't been able to find even the mention of one online either, so I was wondering if...

    D&D 5E Farts (serious question)

Ok, this is officially the worst (best?) Thread I have ever seen! And I refuse to make some sort of flatulence pun- puns are the most terrible kind of humour.

D&D 5E 5e blog with traps and hazards?

Not exactly what the point of this thread was but I was planning on creating a campaign very shortly which would include traps and downtime; this should provide lots of great resources to help with it!

Man I hope so, I'm an american , but I wish I was raised with metric. It just makes so much more sense logicaally!

D&D 5E Very little kids take D&D VERY seriously

Wow I probably wouldn't have had a party member turn on another and try to kill him with such young children, but who knows. I myself started dnd when I was only 3 or 4 myself, though I don't remember much about that campaign. I think I played a druid in a party that actually got up to level 17...
