How many character sheets is too many?

It has been my experience that regardless of how many pages and even if they had a table of contents, those sticky note arrow things, an eidetic memory and an index....they still won't know where what they are looking for is. 🤓

How many character sheets is too many?

Character sheet pages are never too many or too few; they are exactly as many as the player needs them to be. 🧙‍♂️

    D&D (2024) I have a Monster Manual. AMA!

Do you use mayonnaise or butter for your grilled cheese?

    D&D General You're In Charge of D&D -- 2025 Edition

I'd hire a marketing team that knew how to market the product better. It just seems to me that Wotc doesn't really know what to do with their own product.

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

Has no one noticed that it’s been 273 posts and not one person has questioned the definition of the word “orc”?!? 🤯 I don’t even know who you people are anymore. 😂

What is the MOST IMPORTANT skill for a GM to have?

I was wondering how long it would take someone to mock my short "communicate better" answer. 🤓 If there were a prize, you would win it. The DM is the be all end all of everything. If you cant convey what's what to all involved; its gonna be a long haul. From what you see to how what you see...

We've got 50 years of orc stats. I think we'll be ok. 🤓

Is Losing your Turn The Worst That Can Happen

No. I'm not so fragile that I can't enjoy the game as a spectator. The DM is a player too so if their turn was spent disabling me, it was just my turn to take one for the team.

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

It’s ok. Just don’t be a hero. No one will even know.

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

We weren't debating IF your character SHOULD be a hero, Like all of the devolving spiral of tedium threads here end up being we were DEFINING the word hero. If you don't want to be a hero, don't be. That's fun too. For someone to say "this phrase i want to argue about for no real reason" is so...

Well if you think so, it must be true. Since what i thought was automatically wrong.

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

The Oxford Dictionary, Miriam Webster, : a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Or more simply put....good guys doing good things. Why does it need to be more complicated than that? Other than people on the internet making argument's...

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

So all words with multiple meanings don't mean anything? How cynical does a person have to be not to understand or embrace what they common use term of hero means?

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

I've never seen anything more pedantic in my life. :geek: 1. Every PC is their own protagonist. 2. 98.6% of all "rules" are based on combat or battle. No i do not have data for this. 3. The fact there is a "hero tier" and not a "villain tier" should tell you something. 4. I'm pretty sure...

How important is it to you or your players for characters to feel "overpowered"?

Isn’t it possible to both know what the game is like and roll up a less than effective character? I’m not arguing I'm just discussing making the most of the characters we end up with. I’ve always found that a sub par character makes for great role playing. YMMV of course.
