D&D (2024) Kobold Press posts 2024 DMG Hit Piece

I liked Deep Magic too but I have always felt that KP subclasses are pretty hit or miss.

D&D (2024) Kobold Press posts 2024 DMG Hit Piece

I buy a lot of both. Not sure you have a good grasp on what you are talking about.

D&D (2024) Kobold Press posts 2024 DMG Hit Piece

Me too. I used to back almost all KP stuff but haven’t since they started primarily pushing ToV which I have no interest in. I feel their best stuff for 5E was some of the early Midgard stuff like Demon Cults which may be my favorite 3PP book but has been going downhill for a while now.

    Castles&Crusades: Is this "The One"?

I agree. Like I said in my previous post there is a lot to like about C&C. My group won’t go back to it because we didn’t like the Siege Engine but I was also turned off by the quality of books. Editing and layout and even some of the art is just not very good. I love some of their...

Hasbro Hit With Layoffs, Wizards of the Coast Impacted

Well exactly. Layoffs are terrible. But how many people stopped using Google after recent layoffs or didn’t buy a laptop with a nvidia chip, or stopped watching Paramount TV shows or movies?

Dungeons & Dragons May Not Come Back to Greyhawk After 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

Not surprised at all. Other than Forgotten Realms are they going to revisit any setting? I don’t get the impression DragonLance or Ebberon will be getting any new material either.

Discworld's Headed For A Million Dollars!

Speaking of horror and comedy this attempt at humor was horrible but not comedic

Wish they had a system neutral world book.

D&D Is Hiring a New Brand Publicity Manager

Interesting but no sure what that has to do with this thread at all.

D&D 5E Amazon US book sales rank.

Curious as someone who sells it, do you have any sense of what customers think of the book once they have a chance to look through it?

D&D 5E Amazon US book sales rank.

Two of the one stars aren’t verified purchases. I wish in general Amazon didn’t let people do reviews unless they bought it there.

Kobold Press State of Play Issues “No AI Pledge”

Fair enough but Chris Cocks could have been referencing video games in development for Hasbro when discussing their plans for AI previously.

Kobold Press State of Play Issues “No AI Pledge”

Video games without good to great AI are trash especially RPG games and sports games.

Kobold Press State of Play Issues “No AI Pledge”

AI is necessary for some areas. Wouldn’t we expect Hasbro to use AI in video game development? AI is always made out to be so bad but that is a gross over simplification.

Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks Talks AI Usage in D&D [UPDATED!]

Like most new technologies AI may be beneficial, disastrous, both of those or neither (total bust). I don’t know. I mean there is a lot of alarmism. People had similar feelings about the internet- I guess the jury is still out on that too 😀.

Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks Talks AI Usage in D&D [UPDATED!]

This isn’t surprising and not necessarily as bad as people will make it out to be. Every industry is experimenting with AI. I know in healthcare there is some hope that AI can reduce medical errors and improve outcomes. That may or may not happen but AI in and of itself isn’t necessarily bad...

Players Don't Care About Your Setting

It pains me to agree. I know as the DM I am much more invested in my setting than my players who are often more focused on what’s next. I mean sure they appreciate some of the small touches that make it seem like a living breathing world but overall they soon forget that when compared to the...

WotC Greg Tito On Leaving WotC: 'It feels good to do something that doesn't just line the pockets of *****'

I hardly think Only Fans belongs in the same group as Wagner or meth dealer.

WotC Greg Tito On Leaving WotC: 'It feels good to do something that doesn't just line the pockets of *****'

People become disillusioned for a lot of reasons. Even employers ‘who treat their employees well’, whatever that means being that it is so subjective, have employees that become disenchanted or burned out. In my experience few companies have all happy employees. And I find that how companies...
