    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

An issue for fighters is the short rest idiocy. If your fighter could start every fight (or at least every other fight) with all his dice and his second wind while the casters ration their spells, there would be a lot more parity.

Truth be told, every monster that doesn't have high intelligence is in turn described as cunning. Most creatures need to have a basic understanding of combat to survive in D&D worlds. No monster should be played as if it was stupid. Heck when it comes to playing monsters intelligently it pretty...

Because when you are sharing your opinion about a product where the producer will not see it, it by definition is not feedback since it is not going back to them. And that's cool, this is a forum so it's the right place for an opinion, but maybe do not use the word feedback for it.

Well Larian DID do one thing, they added so many barrels of wine or flameable oil or exploding mushrooms you can fireblast to an explosion. Which is more ranged AoE than any 1-4th level character has. They have also added are effects to so many ranged attacks that leave acid/fire/frost puddles...

Also with resurrection being fairly easy given we have a servant of Jergal hanging around in our camp, the fact that they focus on killing downed characters probably ends up for the best given that it's a couple of attacks spared from the rest of the group. You want the enemy down fast and then...

Eh . . . they have forums too you know. Where people are rather focused with sharing their experience of the game.

Modders have really gone to town on this already it seems. There are mods at the Nexus to unlock playing as an Origin character, adding a lot more customizations (which imo is very much needed) and many other things. And yes, there importantly is a mod to break the short rest restriction.

I've honestly just always take the action and help.

It's certainly part of the balancing needed. And yeah I also think that the verisimilitude of the game, which is supposed to be a focus given the level of detail, is suffering from way too many barrels of flammable oil. Anyone familiar with previous Larian EA's, what is the plan? Will they be...

No need for a shatter. Shove is ridiculously OP. Honestly both disengage and shove should not be bonus actions

Btw I absolutely love that I can remake one of my earliest D&D characters, a dwarven lady of Haela Brightaxe. Battle Master with a Greatsword, Cleric Initiate, gorgeous red beard.

BG1 kobolds were horribly overgeared for when you encountered them. BG3 indeed is mostly about using the terrain. Heck at the current levels available, the terrain features just straight up have more damage potential than what the PCs can do.

Yup. You can add multiple tags easily though so if there are interactions to backgrounds you could easily make someone be both a Sage and a Noble for instance. Modders are already working on the game though so I expect by the time it is out of EA there will be a lot of mods already.

Which really doesn't make much sense in the case of mind flayers given the plot. Heck there are several cases of playable races that by the old lore cannot undergo ceremorphosis though 5E doesn't seem to take that into account, already having a gnome-based illithid (they would have to undergo a...

Dragonlance Dragonlance's Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman Are Suing WotC for Breach of Contract

Yup. Pansexual effectively means that you can be attracted to anyone so that when it comes to consenting partners that would include a variety of monstrous creatures, awakened animals, talking trees . . .

There is also an innate anthropocentricism in declaring that morally negative inherent traits of a non-human species is innately a form of racism. Subraces are racist as hell (oh your elf likes the woods instead of our glorious urban crystal castles? then that must mean you are stupid compared...

Yeah they have captured the feeling of D&D. Which might not be entirely optimal for a video game, mind you. But that was their intent. For me robust mod support will be the ideal next step for this. Give this game decent support for modders and in the next few years we may see amazing things...

Btw I've yet to have any graphics issue. Maybe it's because my PC is a beast. I really hope this proves to be friendly to modders
