    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

Yeah I actually loaded a different save first time I got to those ruins because I thought that there must have been a way to resolve an encounter with named NPCs differently. I mean why even name them if you cannot interact with them outside combat? How would I even know their names? Speak with...

Gotta ask, what is a MGSH???

For what it's worth when you use cheat engine to modify companions, there appear to be TEN slots, though one is taken by the character. Could be a function of the script that was made and not of the game ofc. But anything below eight would be a disappointment.

Shadowheart's problems do feel very "Shar". Memory gaps when you worship Shar? It couldn't be that the goddess of forgetfullness is manipulating you . . . I think it would be possible to have her change gods or at least heavily reconsider her relation with her goddess down the line. I think...

Heck I'd say the DEFAULT deity of an adventuring cleric in the Realms should be either Tymora or Lathander. And they are both missing? Just weird.

    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

I've switched between a half-elf cleric of Selune, a tiefling fiend warlock and now I think I've finally decided to play an Eldritch Knight (likely human). I do hope we get to play Clerics of Tymora (I'm not up to speed with 5E FR, Tymora IS still around right?)

Haha and I still cannot even decide on how I want to play this.

    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

Yeah the AI is a solid mean GM that gives players no breaks. Which is great for those who enjoy a challenge. As for me, I'm cheating my way through the game because I'm a lazy bastard that just wants to see the story (and there is finally a cheat engine script to always win d20 rolls)

Well Gale is the only one I don't mind and that I might pick up anyway (doesn't hurt that he is nice to look at). Still his story gimmick is silly imo.

Part of the issue I have (and it seems common since I've seen it in several reviews) is not so much that they are evil. It's that they are grating. Shadowheart is an evil cleric of Shar but so was Viconia. But Viconia was also charming in her own way. Lae'zel comes from an evil culture but so...

    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

Look you might be all about subjective morality but: Lae'zel is a member in good standing of a culture of raiders Shadowheart belongs to a church that requires the murder of an innocent achieved through deception in order to join Astarion is a freaking Vampire I am not touching the "I made a...

    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

So far I like the story but I get nothing from the companions. I played BG and BG2 for far, far too long. I don't think I ever really wanted to kill any of the companions there except maybe Tiax and Eldoth. I struggle to see why I am not killing Lae'zel, Shadowheart and Astarion soon after...

    D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access

My only issue so far is how hard it is to get peaceful resolutions without save scumming. But that's part and parcel with 5E's bounded accuracy. Quite a few of the situations qualify as hard or very hard after all and you cannot focus your build well at low levels.

    D&D 5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

That would kill off several perfectly fine NPCs who'd die in that time.

    D&D 5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

I think that outside of FR, they don't really care or need an event to justify the retcons. FR needed the Sundering because the novels are important to them. Ignoring Faction War doesn't really affect any secondary media or any other settings though, especially if you focus on Sigil and the...

    D&D 5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Five Nations makes it seem that the Thranes show significant prejudice against people who don't worship the Flame and non-humans, keeping them essentially locked out of positions of power. That was also not really the intent for the nation. And Forge of War doesn't treat Thrane kindly either. It...

    D&D 5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

Rather, the Flame in Thrane is largely moderates who truly want to help others except for Shadow cultists and people like Krozen. It is the mainly Aundairan sect that is full of zealots.

They can always start as crew members on someone else's ship and inherit it along the way.

    D&D 5E 3 Classic Settings Coming To 5E?

The Spider Moon version is great as a Spelljammer setting that is meant to focus on Spelljammer itself rather than on linking multiple other places. But yeah, I'll never be happy about single biome planets:)
