    D&D 5E Paladin/Fighter/Rogue Part Deux!

Why fighter 5 when pally 5 already gives extra attack? Pally 5 / fighter 3 would offer the same result at level 8.

D&D 5E GWF vs. TWF Fighting styles

Oh man, are you trolling? 100% wrong. You probably did not explain properly as it is impossible to come up with a different answer to this simple problem. 10/10 middle-school teachers would agree. Without rerolls: - (1+2+3+4+5+6)/6 = 3.5 Except it's not 1, you replace it with reroll. Same...

D&D 5E GWF vs. TWF Fighting styles

Yeah, extra attack weakens it and picking a feat kills it. As soon as you pick DW someone else will pick PM or GWM and gain the same split damage on bonus action. Well, at least for fighter. Hunter has some features to compensate. Too lazy to look at Kryx worksheet.

D&D 5E GWF vs. TWF Fighting styles

Yes, yes. Didn't I say "And at level 15 gwf (3d12+15) does consistently more damage than twf (4d6+20)"? So what's the layman's term for standard deviation?

D&D 5E GWF vs. TWF Fighting styles

TWF has more consistent damage be cause of the law of average. And at level 15 gwf (3d12+15) does consistently more damage than twf (4d6+20) Improving crit on twf/gwf results in the same increase to DPR, twf only comes ahead if it has riders such as smite.

D&D 5E Fire Bolt vs other Wizzard offensive cantrips

Ultimately it's 12, but yeah. Disabling for a round is worth much more.

D&D 5E Player challange Vs Character challange (Metagaming)

Player skills are only used to bring character skills to life. If you are too smart for your character, going right is forbidden. Find a way to make him take the 3 lefts that'll make that right. If it's the opposite, take a random right somewhere and your character will smooth it out to the...

    D&D 5E FINAL FOUR- (1) Wizard v. (1) Cleric

Yes, no me-tooism. First-past-the-post means strategic votes. It would be interesting to do a 4-choice out of the best second places. yay!

D&D 5E Underdark Bad Dreams make a save to long-rest POLL

There's an equivalence between physical and mental stats: - Str = Cha - Dex = Int - Con = Wis I would have them roll both Con and Wis and pick 1 of the players who failed both of them, but not the same twice in a row. Once it becomes too easy, pick 1 who failed any.

    D&D 5E Mid-level Versatility

That's pretty doable with 8 14 13 13 16 13, but maybe going human with resilient (Con) would be worth losing 1 skill and having Cha11.

D&D 5E Any Thoughts On My Bard/Warlock Build?

Right, brain fart. This is counter-productive. You will still need 2 ASI to cap. - Con11+1/Cha15+2 requires 12 score points, Cha+2, Con+1/Cha+1 = Con13/Cha20 - Con13+1/Cha14+2 requires 12 score points, Cha+2, Cha+2 = Con14/Cha20 As you can see, "the more point the better" means starting with...

D&D 5E Any Thoughts On My Bard/Warlock Build?

I get 8 16 14 12 10 16 for the half-elf, yours uses 28 points. Cha17 does not bring anything more unless you pick Actor to even it out. For variant human, you should grab EB if you pick Spell Sniper, it's the only ranged spell you will use. OTOH, Inspiring Leader offers more utility than a...

    D&D 5E Eagle Eyes

Well, would you gain advantage or some bonus to perception if it was 100' away? When you do, that advantage extents to 1 mile.

D&D 5E [GUIDE] The True Hexblade: Shillelagh

Forget shillelagh for a moment and use a rapier or quarterstaff, because of smite they do more damage than EB.

D&D 5E [GUIDE] The True Hexblade: Shillelagh

    - chain mail is AC18, not 19 - Con 12+1 does not maximize your point value, leave it at 12 and do Dex13+1 - you cannot get AC18 without Str15, but that's ok since the book has to be "on your person" and not in your hand. - you can only take resilient once With Dex 13+1, you could pally3 before...

Does Medium Armor Need a Buff?

I don't see what the problem is. Dex20 has AC 17 with studded armor Dex14 has AC 17 with half plate (16 with breastplate) Str15 has AC 18 with full plate Why should a character not willing to invest in enough Str/Dex get the same protection and the same stealth advantage?

D&D 5E Working on a Wood Elf Fighter/Rogue archer, with a likely 15-level cap, looking for suggestions

I don't recommend dipping 3+ Rogue then pushing for fighter 11, since you will be 3+ levels late for fighter 11 extra attack. Much better to stop at fighter 5-6 and go rogue afterward, you'll hit harder except for levels 11-13. Archery Style gains a lot from Sharpshooter, it's better than an...
