I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

the frog people who can use their tongue as a bludgeoning weapon did it for me. That's when I knew i was gonna like most of their design choices. All the playable ancestries are pretty cool.

I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

Honestly, DC20 seemed fine to me. It's just my desire to leave the d20 system behind that made me skip out on it. Daggerheart seems much more interesting of the two, imo.

Dungeon World Gets New Owners, Second Edition Planned

I know its legally DW 2 because they bought the rights, but this just reads like Chasing Adventure 2. A game I thought already got rid of the good things I liked in DW.

I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

"Spoiler" is usually something that would ruin the experience. Hearing the ending of a book or movie for example. I can't think of anything in this book that would ruin the experience if I heard about it early. But that's just me. They're in their right to ask people not to share the content...

I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

I understand the annoyance of potentially having your entire game leaked online a month early, but I have to say that the concept of game rules being a "spoiler" is a little funny to me. Especially with the open beta.

What videogames are you playing in 2025?

Finished Final Fantasy VII Remake, now trying out Monster Hunter Stories. I also have bought a lot of the Final Fantasy mainline games on sale, and haven't played them before, so this year is gonna be full of JRPGs for me.

Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

This is the one show I practically forced my wife to watch with me when we got together. It took us many years  She enjoyed it but extremely disliked O'brien, which I thought was hilarious. This is probably #1 on my all time favorite show list. Garak is probably the best character ever...

What a cool monster. With them getting rid of Action Tokens in the final release, I'm curious how the GMs' action economy will change.

    Daggerheart Release Date Revealed

The action tokens are no longer default in the final rules, but they haven't really explained what, if anything, will be replacing them. Armor slots and have also been simplified to only being able to be use 1 slot per attack (if i understood it right). DM rolling a d20 is just a personal...

Critical Role to Run Grimdark Daggerheart Miniseries

I wasn't expecting the base set to come with the card holder. I wonder how this will be packaged together on the shelves. I guess just all shrink wrapped?

    Daggerheart Release Date Revealed

Yeah, this is just false imo. I mean, Dungeon World has one book and is only now getting around to a 2nd edition after over a decade. People play the hell out of that. And also, if I buy Daggerheart for $60 bucks and play each of the included campaign frames once. That's 5 or 7 campaigns. So...
