Why isn't every 9th level wizard rich?

I wouldn't do it, because I have a non-nerf solution, and it nerfing that spell wouldn't be fair to the PC. Plus I prefer to reward creativity than nerf it.

    30th-level PC versus kingdom--who wins?

Really, at this stage of the campaign the PCs have likely done things like that for 30 levels. You group killed Demogorgan? Now you got gods as enemies. Gods are not stupid you know and they are vengeful. Only if you stay. Yes and you are a CR 35 encounter. Appropriate for a Level 32-33...

    Campaign/party paradigms

Epic Quest1: Demogorgon or Orcus has stolen the souls of their mother, father, etc... and the PC's have to storm hell to get them back. Family Heritage: The PC's are quested by their families to fulfill their families destiny.

    Why no Half-elf/Half-orcs?

    Another vote for humans.

Why don't giants rule the world?

Sheer number of high level humans that is.

Why isn't every 9th level wizard rich?

They are rich, and merchants export most of it off dimension. And you forgot moment of prescience. However other fab wizards/sorcerers may object to the newcomers. Check with your guild for regulations, usually they limit you to only double character wealth... Most wizards (in my experience)...

    Master/Apprentice

Me like. Okay, my ruling would be that professionals can teach, so you need a level 5 skill like Spellcraft. If you have lots of mid level dudes running around, call it rank 9. If you want to teach a bunch of students take Profession: Teacher.

Best Ways to Increase the Fame of Your Adventuring Group

It depends on the campaign. By declaring a deeds, you give them an idea of your MO and power level. In some campaigns this is a very poor idea. In others, a great idea. Know thyne enemies.

    30th-level PC versus kingdom--who wins?

Yup. Boring. Like raiding hell, travelling the multiverse, and trying to kill Demogorgon and the like. If you have the skills that is. But having primary spellcasters and epic level crusaders come after you would mean a nice change of pace. Rough on your city though. You are sitting...

    Most Powerful D&D Game Ever

Yup. RAW. When the Epic book just came out. We shook that system to it's core. And ended up at Level 50-57. Everybody got crazy creative. It was awesome.

    30th-level PC versus kingdom--who wins?

Why? It's only a dungeon. A really big dungeon. Best move on to fight epic monsters and such. Loot the nation and move on.

    Urban Adventure Ideas

You need a basic briefing at the beginning of each session. "One body was found at the King's crossing road, by the empty lot. Female, naked. So avoid the place. There is a money pouch cutter in the Hope Marketplace. Ank got killed last night, we're passing the hat for his widow. He got...

Rites of the God of Knowledge

No holy water, they make holy ink. It works as holy water, but they would be horrified if you throw it, and they will double the price (but can be negotiated down). Destroying knowledge is a sin. No destroying that Book of Vile Knowledge. No Atonement, you just have to teach, and teach until...

    Urban Adventure Ideas

Fallout from other campaigns... Ye old goblins in sewers (and other foul creatures). Fled from some other adventuring group that drove them out of their lands... so they are squatting in the sewers and causing troubles. They are fearful of humans, but they gotta eat, and they are running out...

Does a PC Have Amnesia? Try This!

Nah, let him kill the PC's, then when they make new characters buff them up by a level or the equivalent and let them avenge their own deaths. Bounty, the CE's dude's enemies hiring the new PC's etc... Yup. Lots of people was after the old group. Now that it's down to one member...
