    Exotic weapon proficiency

there is an alternate rule from unearthed arcana though which basically the feat allows prof. with all types of that kind of weapon. not sure what the name of the feat is though . . .

    denied dex?

not in a world where magic use has been outlawed. (my last character died because of that . . . yeah it sucked) but otherwise sure. that would be great.

quick exotic weapon / weapon finesse question

all of my posts recently have been about my new character which is a spiked chain rogue. this past saturday i actually had a chance to play the character and he was AWESOME. let's face it, flanking is the most useful use of sneak attack and with a spiked chain it really easy to do from all sorts...

    denied dex?

    thanks for the advice. and i realized recently that a spiked chain only had a 10' reach, i don't know what the hell i was smokin wheni came up with 15. thus my diagram above should be altered: me=x, threatened squares=o o o o o o o o o o o o o x o o o o o o o o o o o o flanking city

    Spiked chain question

though the spiked chain is still a really evvective weapon even it it's not uber. i recently made a spiked chain rogue and he's highly effective, because let's face it, the most opportune time to use sneak attack is when you're flanking. thus, i can flank from some really nonstandard positions

    Poison Harvesting/Crafting Rules

i'm pretty sure the book of vile darkness has a few things about that.

    denied dex?

it was just pointed out to me that i'm an idiot and have no idea how charge works. yeah i wouldn't take hold the line . . . an aoo when the opponent is leaving the square is more than enough.

Ready vs spellcasting and AOO with a reach weapon

i personally think it doesn't matter considering you can't make an aoo against a charging opponent unless you have the feat hold the line.

    denied dex?

all the players in this campaign are fighter-esque. reason being that magic has caused an apocalyptic event in the world and has thus been outlawed. the reason i'm using a spiked chain is precicely that flanking is the number 1 use of sneak attack. let's say i'm the x on the following diagram...

    denied dex?

true but all my feats are already used up. i'm not sure if i should pick it up or not. my build is a spiked chain human rogue. i have two flaws from unearthed arcana and am starting out at 3rd level so i get 5 feats right now my character looks like this str 14 dex 18 con 15 int 17 wis 14 cha...

    Sneak attack against prone opponents

yep there are in a world where magic has not been outlawed . . . as is the case with this campaign. i tried sneaking it in and i was killed shortly thereafter.

    List of feats

THANKS! that's EXACTLY what i was looking for! are all those just d&d sourcebooks or are there any house feats snuck in?

    List of feats

thanks but neither one of those list specific effects of feats.i'm looking for a list that gives a consolidated list of feats, their sourcebook and exactly what they do in game terms. example: power attack lets you trade your base attack bonus for damage up to +5 not: power attack gives you...

    Little Known Rules of D&D

the source for this is http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040217a and i believe it to mean exactly what it says, a rogue can make as many sneak attacks as they have attacks in the first round of combat. i also believe it to mean that anyone after my init roll is considered flat footed...

    Sneak attack from concealment?

    1. the wotc website addresses this in their all about sneak attacks segment. you want to look at part 2 for blink http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040224a 2. a blinking creature strikes as an invisible creature. but they are not actually invisble. this also means that blindsight...

    Little Known Rules of D&D

here's an interesting rule. according to the wotc website anyone after your init in the first round of combat is considered flat footed. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040302a

    Sneak attack from concealment?

you're thinking of blink. with blink you technically only have concealment but it specifically says in the descriptor that when you attack it's as if you are invisible so the opponent is denied his dex

    denied dex?

so i'm making a rogue for the campaign i'm in and it's the first rogue i've ever made. i'd like to use the sneak attack ability to it's fullest though so i was wondering if anyone knew of a comprehensive list of exactly when an opponent is denied his dexterity bonus.
