Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

Halleluya... Liar!! I've seen you be the perfect unopinionated rules lawyer plenty of times before, what's stopping you now? What the f*ck!!! Just hold up a minute sir. A +6 rating is a +6 rating no matter what book it's in, they are equal. The MaoF and the ELH use the SAME RULES. Both...

Intensify Spell is an Epic WASTE!!!!

Re: Re: Is anybody actually reading my examples? Nice job Marshal, we are on the same wavelength. The fact is, everytime he burns an Epic Feat slot on IMM, we can pick ISC and cast at a higher level than they can and ultimately increasing our damage potential. drnuncheon's example did not...

Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

I'm baa-aaack I had to get my beauty rest, sheesh... (damn, I'm good lookin)... There is no problem here, that "it breaks" is obviously your opinion. The fact is, one or more of the authors felt it deserved a +6 rating. I see no difference between making Proof/Trans worth from 36k, to...

    So what your EPIC!

And who said it was supposed to? The power curve as you gain levels from 1 to 40 is constant. In other words, the power gain is the same going from 5th to 6th as it is from 20th to 21st as it is from 35th to 36th. It's all gradual.

Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

Pah-leez... Can I have a puff of whatever your smoking, it must be pretty good sh*t. ;) No, now your assuming what I'm thinking. I understood you clearly the first time around, I just simplified it. Here we go again, lets put this issue to a rest. The question is NOT: What books does...

Intensify Spell is an Epic WASTE!!!!

You should read my examples above, although they do get involved. Basically they show mathematically that Enhancing and Empowering up fireball does not defeat straight up Empowering of Horrid Wilting. Also note that Horrid Wilting has a higher save over fireball, so the damage ratio gets even...

    Single or Multiple Saves?

Make 10 saves, facing 10 mummies is alot scarier than facing 1. Or if you want 1 save roll for the bunch, increase the will save DC by +1 or +2 per factor of 2 mummies: 2 mummies ---> DC 16 4 mummies ---> DC 17 8 mummies ---> DC 18 16 mummies ---> DC 19 32 mummies ---> DC 20 etc.

Epic Level Spells: Better or Worse than 9th level spells?

Epic spells are fine, just don't expect much from them at "low" epic levels, PC's spellcrafts just aren't high enough. We are playing a "medium" epic level campaign, we made up characters at 30th to 32nd level. Our 32nd level wizard specializes in epic spells and has a +100 spellcraft...

    Manyshot Damage Modifiers: HOW!?

Hey, good question! Here's I would do it: Precision based bonuses (apply damage only once): 1. Point blank shot 2. Weapon specialization Non-precision bonuses (apply per arrow): 1. Strength (you pull back the string harder for all arrows) 2. Magical arrow bonuses (each arrow is inherently...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic en Still, I made new points :) You didn't understand my point, I used that example to show how silly and illogical your point was. Let me illustrate for you further: Your logic: Your...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantmen Speak for yourself, I made many new points. If you don't have any or can't think of any arguements against my points then just let it be. Don't come here and post that I'm saying what has...

Experience rewards for greatly mixed party levels

In determining the party level, I would ONLY consider the PCs and adjust the XP award according to a difficulty adjustment. In the DMG "Significantly less difficult" fits encounter and the award would be x2/3 XP (pg 167, DMG) award: Hence, 3,600 total award x2/3 adjustment = 2,400 per...

Since you post a h*ll lot more than I do, I can safely tell you that we think more alike than you know. :D

Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

Re: Re: Re: Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment? No. The DMG is NOT a good reference on what should and shouldn't be epic, the ELH is. Your logic is flawed, Nowhere in the DMG does it not allow an item to have --1. +31 or higher on enhancements...

Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

Be careful with this. In the CR system there is a built-in power curve and re-defining what epic items are worth will unbalance your game. I know that the 10x costs seem absurd to many, but the epic monsters that you will be fighting have that factored in in their challenge ratings. Just as...

Lets go over what the Manyshot feat actually grants...

Did I misrepresent what you said? Did I twist your words and use them against you? Hey ...what the h*ll is your point?

Is Proof Against Transmutation armor enchantment from the MoF an Epic enchantment?

Arravis, it depends if you are using the epic rules or not. If you are not using the ELH then it is not epic. But if you are using epic level rules, then it probably should be considered epic and require the epic craft feat. The DMG is not a good reference on this one since no special ability...

Lets go over what the Manyshot feat actually grants...

Many people are describing the feat as +x/+x/+x/+x/+x/+x, or "6 attacks per round." My point is that that is incorrect. It is one attack roll, an all-or-nothing proposition, all arrows hit or none hit. And no, I did not take your post out of context, I got your point, but I was not attacking...
