Controlling Pacing - How do you?

That and it's pretty much once you get to far shore and stuff happens it's a constant gotta do this before the world dies do this before x dies do this before blah blah blah you get the idea.... Having played all of savage tides and ran over half of it... unless you change the story drastically...

Controlling Pacing - How do you?

Well you have to look at it (especially in 4th) that really the players are something more then just peasants stating out anyhow... I look at it as each PC is touched by destiny they arn't the average salt of the earth, they are the currents of fate moving through the world.

Dallas, TX Gaming Stores that buy/sell used RPG books

If your looking to make anything ebay.. If your just looking to get rid of them for whatever reason.. as mentioned above there are tons of places to donate them to soldiers. Otherwise tbh dfw does not have a good used place for rpgs.

If Torrent happens to die, how important is it to the story? I.E. are their any major plots I need to plan on a filler character getting?

Problems as a dm/players won't commit to story

Sounds like the players want a pirate game... the best thing I can tell you is see if you can figure out something like that you can have fun with and spin the story that way!

    Deadlands & Earthdawn

Man, I just can't do pbp, the pace doesn't keep me interested. I was working on an earthdawn Framework for map tools for a long while... I wonder if I should go back to that.... or maybe convert War of the Burning sky to earthdawn... hrmmm....

    Deadlands & Earthdawn

The one thing I will say about earthdawn while the horrors are the main, you can run a game without ever touching on them. I know I ran one just on the theran's trying to subjugate a small area of Barsaive, and really you can take the setting and do it anywhere on Earth, and just do your own...

    Deadlands & Earthdawn

I was a bit hesitant on switching to third myself and I'm glad I did, the only thing I don't like is where Classic is 2 HUGE books, third is 4 smaller ones.
