Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e: is it RAW or RAI to always take 10 minutes and heal between encounters?

Agreed, it isn't as cut and dry as variable difficulty. I'd like to see supplements for exploration through more hostile terrain like the Gravelands or planar exploration that are more oppressive and have riskier or more limited rests. I'd also like APs to use the environment rules more often...

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e: is it RAW or RAI to always take 10 minutes and heal between encounters?

Personally I find predictable to be antithetical to fun, and it’s something that poses a bit of a challenge within 2es encounter rules. Making a balanced encounter the players can win if they are paying attention is rather easy, but overused it makes encounters incredibly boring. I’d rather...

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e: is it RAW or RAI to always take 10 minutes and heal between encounters?

It’s typical for a new system. I remember how lack luster the early 5e adventures were, they got better as the writers (well, mostly Chris Perkins tbh) grew more comfortable within the system. The first adventure paths paizo released were made for a system that was effectively 7 years old and...

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e: is it RAW or RAI to always take 10 minutes and heal between encounters?

I lean towards the same line of thinking. I don't think it's a coincidence that the most popular AP (now sold out, being reprinted as a hardcover) is Abomination Vaults, which essentially uses these systems more by just being a traditional dungeon that players take at their own pace.

    Pathfinder 2E Foundry for PF2

https://foundryvtt.com/packages/pdftofoundry/ I used it to upload Abomination Vaults and the Malevolence stand alone adventure. It's a pretty great module to use if you have the official PDFs. I still recommend combing through the maps to make sure walls, lights etc are set up properly and to...

D&D and Call of Cthulhu Climb Again in Roll20's Latest Stats

That Foundry character sheet made me blush and purchase Foundry VTT immediately a year ago. I've never looked back, the community (especially the pf2e community) is great, development is active and fast, and I'm not being charged a monthly fee for basic functionality and storage space. 5e...

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2e: is it RAW or RAI to always take 10 minutes and heal between encounters?

As a PF2e GM, I have the players rooting thought and looting any enemies take about ten minutes to search, secure and distribute treasure and items. That gives everyone else time to do something else, like repair, refocus or treat wounds. Just have the players look through the list of...

Pathfinder Lost Omens: The Mwangi Expanse Review

I liked this book a lot too, but I would have liked more ancestry feats for previous ancestries and archetype options relating to the region and lore. Paizo is usually very good about marrying their setting with their system, so the lack of system options was a bit of a bummer. As for the...

Pathfinder 2E Secrets of Magic coming in 2021 for Pathfinder

Pathfinder 1e lasted a decade, and the system it's based on is now two decades old. The amount of content that is compatible with D&D3e/PF1e is, frankly, insane. You could spend a lifetime trying to play it all and not run out of stuff.
