When a man plays a woman

As someone who played a busty eleven sex worker fairy/bard/mage it does sound like he was trying to be edgy/clever, lol. My character sort of evolved as a concept before she became that. tbh I'd be very wary of letting a cis male player playing a sex worker of any sort. I actually know lesbian...

Tuning up Al-Qadim(for 4E/5E and beyond)

Okay, so a bit of a heads up here. I'm not Arab or Persian or really that much of an expert on Islam & Middle Eastern Folklore, but I am studying such things and am likely a little more knowledgeable than the average person and have a good idea of what might be offensive or jarringly inaccurate...

When a man plays a woman

IMO Rpgs are collaborative storytelling. While by definition the GM has the most power you can't really have a game without the players. ALSO I've been listening to motown all the way through this thread and i can't stop now lol.

When a man plays a woman

With my character I used her Courtesan-ing(and general Bard-ing I guess) as an explanation for where random items came from, which sometimes just so happened to be plot relevant. She had a "Warddrobe of Holding"(bag of holding that could initially only hold) even at first level that suddenly...

When a man plays a woman

Trans woman player here. Character I currently play is female. Last character in last campaign was a dude(while I still identified as trans, but not as openly so - mostly I just had an idea for a character I wanted to run with). My next character will be female too, though maybe trans(which...

    4E: Working with/reskinning Hengeyokai?

I'm p. happy with HEngeyokai to be honest because it gives me a bonus to acrobatics, the stats stack well with Storm Sorcerer and I can talk to bugs lol ill take a look tho

    4E: Working with/reskinning Hengeyokai?

Basically in Spider mode she has tiny size(great for hiding) and gains a climb speed. I think I'm okay with not being able to attack in that mode, except low powered bite attacks. The Hybrid mode is what's interesting to me - it would make sense to have a partial climb speed, maybe, of 3 or 4...

    4E: Working with/reskinning Hengeyokai?

Well I already have the rules with Hengeyokai, it's just finding a way of adding more features to it without it becoming unbalanced.

    4E: Working with/reskinning Hengeyokai?

I wanted to play a character with some sort of Spidery theme, and this seemed like the easiest thing to refluff, the idea of being able to turn into a small animal to conceal yourself was really cool for a character that used both magic and rogue-like abilities(Dagger-based Sorcerer) so I ended...

    How do Dagger-based sorcerers work?

there's a pinning shot as a level 1 encounter to IIRC

    How do Dagger-based sorcerers work?

Yeah, I just wanted to add a paralysing effect to the stab, almost like it was some sort of neuro-toxin. Would need to look at weapons/feats.

    How do Dagger-based sorcerers work?

A jambiya looks like a spider's fang, so I imagine it being kind of like that, a Spider's bite, but with electricity instead of poison. Is there a 4E feat to add immobilise effects I wonder? That'd be neat.

Building a thiefy warlock? Or a magey rogue?

Man can't believe it's been so long since i last posted in this thread. As predicted we're about to start the new game, so I had some new ideas: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?496456-How-do-Dagger-based-sorcerers-work

    How do Dagger-based sorcerers work?

I'm playing one next campaign(as you may have seen from older threads) and trying to figure it out. I suppose on a really elementary level, the Dagger shoots the magic(lightning in this case). Either through the blade, or some magic bauble on the bottom. Another idea I had which goes with the...

Ok, I'm maybe feeling a bit more confident about doing a non-Hybrid multiclass character...

Building a thiefy warlock? Or a magey rogue?

The thing is that there are so many feats now and a lot of them do pretty cool stuff. To Multiclass you need to take a feat, then 3 more feats. And you can't(AFAIK) control the order in which you take them, so if you're MCing into a striker class for more damage and you don't want a crappy...

Building a thiefy warlock? Or a magey rogue?

The one exception for me has been with Resourceful Magician, with my current Bard. It's been really fantastic. I get Wizard powers but Bard Healing and class features. The Bard Utilities are better on average, too.

Building a thiefy warlock? Or a magey rogue?

I feel like maybe going full warlock with a Gloom Pact Multiclass feat set might work best... though I feel Multiclassing IS underpowered considering you have to sacrifice so many feats and/or a paragon path.
