I wanted to announce that I’ve completed yet another review on my blogsite. This time I’ve reviewed the Emerald Press release called RISEN (A Guide for Resurrected Characters). If you’ve had a Character die and come back, and it has made you want to explore a darker role-playing path, then...

Pre-Release Review of Azagar's Book of Rituals

Well there is a VERY cool ritual to make an undead guardian pet called "Spectral Cat" - and a few more rituals to create automatons. Those are all considered Creation Rituals, and are some pretty powerful magics. And over in the Restoration group is a rather nasty Ritual to bring a comrade...

    Review - Combat Advantages #14

I'm sorry, I thought folks would just click the link that was embedded in the pic of the product itself. I thought that was a more attractive way of doing it. I'll be sure to add a second link in my articles to ensure that folks don't have issues finding them. And I actually feel that the XP...

    Review - Iron Gazetteer

Have just completed a review of the Open Design's Iron Gazetteer on my blogsite. This is by the same folks that do Kobold Quarterly and is a great resource for Dwarf Characters and for DMs wanting to add Dwarf material to a campaign. The review can be found here: Review - Open Design's Iron...

    The Goblin Hulk

I shudder to imagine the magnitude of disasters that could be created by a flying horde of goblins - I hope your Characters are up to the challenge! And thank you for the compliment. I hope you will find my site useful. :D

    The Goblin Hulk

So did anyone else check out "The Goblin Hulk" download that was in the EN World News section last Monday? Had some pretty interesting campaign ideas and it was free of course. I reviewed it on my blogsite here: Friday's 4e Freebie: "The Goblin Hulk"

    Daemons back in 4e

Well guessing from your screen name you're a pretty big fan of 3/3.5 Planescape campaigns, so I can empathize with your concern with how the author treated 'loths. And while I wouldn't presume to speak for the author, having reviewed the work, I think he drew inspiration from the names of the...

    D&D 4E Cthulhu in 4e

So I ended up going back and doing a blog about some of the evil ideas I had while reviewing this book and Mesh Hong's Book of Distant Stars -there's alot you can do with good source material... Peeking into the Abyss: Lovecraftian Adventures in 4e

    Daemons back in 4e

Just reviewed the Goodman Games - Critter Cache 5: Daemons on my blogsite yesterday. I am seriously becoming a fan of these guys. I was pretty annoyed when they took Daemons out of play in 4e - it's nice to know I wasn't the only one looking to put them back in play.

    D&D 4E Daemons in 4e

Yep... am well aware of those monsters - in fact I reference them in my blog ;) But as an independent race of creatures, they disappeared from the 'verse, and the supplement I reviewed does an awesome job of adding them back into play again.

    Action points/milestones

I tend to have 1 AP as a Daily power and award a "floating" additional AP after each milestone. It makes the players willing to push thru knowing that they will have a gaurenteed AP during the encounter following a milestone. The additional AP, if not used, go away after an extended rest.

    Draugr (Dwarven Vampire)

Well I can't argue that the additions you've made make the Draugr a Serious Threat! I'm glad you liked my background for the critter, and if you don't mind, I'd like to add your treatment of the Draugr to my revised blog. I love using original folklore to find interesting and unique monsters.

    D&D 4E 4E Combat as "Skill Challenge"

I did something similar in my blog, but with respect to a scenario where you would sneak up and assassinate a guard. Check it out. D&D 4e Skill Challenge: Assassination

    Wizard Shield Ability

I DM that way as well and it's only fair to allow the Player a chance to use their power in a way it will help them. Making them guess whether popping the power is going to avoid a hit or not is kinda mean.

    Draugr (Dwarven Vampire)

I ran across this article from a site called "The Viking Answer Lady" - it detailed some Scandanavian viking legends of undead from the old norse sagas. Anyways, there was mention of an undead called a Draugr which seemed like it would make a really good Dwarven Vampire. I wrote it up on my...
