    D&D 4E 4e Monster List - Dwarven Nosepicker & Elven Butt Scratcher

Well, if the ammo is a type that you can't buy in a regular shop, or the skill is not available to PCs in a reasonable manner, then all you have succeeded in doing is spreading out skills and equipment across at least two books. If you can't Bugbear Strangle unless you train with Bugbear...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

In fact, the 1st Edition PHB states that most damage at higher levels is not physical, but nearly all damage at lower levels is physical damage. Mr Gygax goes on at some length to delineate the differences, but it ends up being a more or less definite assertion that the first few levels of hit...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

I don't agree or disagree. I find Karinsdad's argument compelling, if not wholly convincing. In any case, using Karinsdad's conclusion as a premise is no less begging the question than if Cadfan had used it directly. Karinsdad's conclusion is still debatable, therefore it is not a useful...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

Assuming Cadfan was not being sarcastic: How convenient, then, that 4e fixed that by giving everyone their own "healing surge" amount. is a circular argument by way of begging the question. It is presumed that healing is 'broken' in 3.x, therefore, a different mechanic 'fixes' it. As 4e...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

To a degree, yes, it probably should. It would also be good to have strenuous activity causing further damage. But then we are talking about a death-spiral mechanic, which isn't something D&D has ever encompassed. My argument, which may be different than others' here, is that the hit point...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

Except 4e doesn't even have that concession. The push is for total abstraction so it meshes with healing surges. As has been noted, hit points in previous editions at least paid lip service to having a physical component, mostly because of effects like poison which can't sap your 'luck' or...

    Begging the question.

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

Except the strenuous activity prevents that character from getting above 1hp, therefore, they are seriously injured. Additionally, a character at full hit points can't push a boulder uphill all day, every day for a month. Unless you are arguing that the lack of rules for every single detail in...

    D&D 4E 4e Healing - Is This Right?

If I may interject: spending the time performing tasks meant you recovered one hit point per day, maximum. So, roughly three months to recover, assuming no further damage. Strenuous activity meant no healing whatsoever. So, technically, there was impairment built into the system.

Stupid feat naming: Does it really matter that much?

I think, as mentioned here before, pudding is even more malleable than gold.

What should WOTC do about Golden Wyvern Adept? (Keep Friendly)

The SRD Wiki explains this pretty clearly: Further: Now, why does 'Golden Wyvern Adept' allow you to exclude certain squares in your spell?
