Are reviews of older books useful?

Yes. D&D has always been about mining information from all kinds of sources, and there's always something somewhere that can be salvaged from an older book for a campaign. If nothing else, it provides a target for later conversion =)

    Turin Shroud Older Than Thought

Turin Shroud Older Than Thought My thoughts are born in miliseconds and die soon after. I'd agree that this shroud of tangibility is indeed older than thought =)

    Stone Age D&D Games?

The dragonlance Barbarians Trilogy by Thompson and Cook explores pretty thoroughly the evolution of humanity in that setting, in an interesting way. Stuff like metal being discovered through dragon scales at first, and the tribe being fostered by a good dragon, elves having crude iron...

how does a culture recover from an apocalyptic event?

on reading the topic, two settings came immediately to mind- Dragonlance (during the war of the lance- the first modules were totally a post apoc setting trying to recover) and Wheel of Time, which explains in great detail how the world evolved and changed over the course of years since the...

    Elektra bad

watching the daredevil directors cut entails watching daredevil again, and i can't bring myself to ever do that again. The sooner that movie is excised from common thought, the happier i'll be.

    Name your favorite D&D book

do box sets count? if so- Time of the Dragon. The complete essence of Dragonlance ported to a continent unravaged by hundreds of canon trampling novels, and still full of the wonder and amazement of the setting. If only books? Sovereign Press's War of the Lance. Dragonlance as it should...

Who is the worst villain in D&D?

Say what you will about anything else he did, but Tracy Hickman knew how to create amazing bad guys. My votes on Stradh and Soth.

    Rap/Gansta: Perferences?

I find that rap music, despite its lyrical content, is the spiritual successor to poetry. Lately i've been listening to a lot of hip hop music, not for content, but for structure, rhyme scheme, rhythmic value, and i'm floored by the sheer technical artistry involved. Jay Z, for instance, is...

    which one to go to

having gone to both this year, i'd say Indy, by far and away. Indy has one hundred times the stuff to do and things to see as Socal, and a lot of cooler releases and everything. The only real reason to go to socal so far is if it is in driving distance =)

    Best fight scene?

definately the first fight in Hero, in the rain at the go building. It was a perfect meld of music and skill and mysticism. But now that i think of it, certainly those battles in Wheel of Time are awesome. Pretty much all of them. The battle at Dumai's Well, the battles in Fires of...
