Deterence?

All hail the words of wisdom! ;) That's why my group is VERY picky as to whom gets "inducted" in our gaming group... After all, we know what one rotten apple can cause!

As for the one player "calling the shots" problem, I don't have it in my group (yet) but it makes me really want to try Space Alert (which has short time limits between "crisis") and Battlestar Galactica (who would want to listen to a possible toaster?)...

Yes, I know. We all love Pandemic and Battlestar Galactica! But what about the others? I've heard a bit about Ghost Stories, Space Alert. Who has a good word to say about these 2 games. Others to recommend? I'm beginning to feel a co-op gaming buying itch as my girlfriend LOVES these types...

I've played 6 times the game with only 4 epidemic cards! Close calls 2 times and we lost in 2 turns once (our board had the 3 blocks cities jumbled together and we drawed 2 of these cities on the first turn)! The game doesn't want us to win yet... Speaking of coop game, any good words for...

Aye aye! On my side, I've still haven't gotten a win! Well, the only win we would have had next turn was "cancelled" due to a Pepsi-on-the-table-everywhere-PROTECT-THE-GAME emergency... No boards or cards were damaged... But we didn't win!

I haven't got one or the other. I'm, like you, interested in buying one of these games though and I've done a bit of "research". I'd say that Battlelore is the most complex of the two games... Although adding the Air pack expansion to Memoir probably makes it as complex as Battlelore too...

For my 4th edition game, I'd get PTOLUS... Guess what I'm running now! It's a great book and it just fits 4ed. IMHO.
