Seems to me that while you have a character that may be able to kill a deity with an apple core, broken shovel and a comb, (and how, exactly, does this work?) the deity can kill the character without those things.

One interesting thing is that obsidian can be made sharper than steel. The brittleness means that it can be cracked, to incredible sharpness. Then, glassteel it up, and you have a blade as tough as steel, but much sharper. At least for a little while, before it must be honed and resharpened...

Only useful if the Mrs. is a poor aim. If she's got a good aim, I'd rather the glassware be what breaks, than my skull.

It's incredibly easy to work with glass compared to steel. It's just sand, really. Melts at a much lower point than steel. Can be shaped over a regular campfire if you're willing to wait a while. Making a smooth orb or container out of steel is much MUCH harder than glass. How about a tower...

Between the two listed, I prefer MM just for the range. I've had people say it's not that much of an issue, right up until you face an enemy at 11-20 squares away, and then boy do you want MM.

Make them dreaming somehow. That way, you can do things like suddenly change locations, things around them, making the world they're in disjointed and inconsistent.

Well, everything is multiplied, yes. Strength, magic, smite evil, etc... Generally, numbers are multiplied, extra dice are not. So sneak attack damage doesn't get multiplied in a crit, just the initial weapon damage. HOWEVER. DnD multiplication is funny. Doubling a 3x crit only gives you...

Maybe. We need more to go on than that, though. If the paladin has 710 strength, then yeah, he did more than 350 damage. But he probably doesn't, so we need more than that. JUST smiting evil on a crit lance charge wouldn't do it. But there's more that might be happening.

Yeah. You can still play that type of character, even if you don't use the Assassin Prestige Class. It's hard, to get the relevant abilities, especially if you want to cause the blindness and stuff by mundane causes rather than magic, but it's perfectly viable.

Also, if you drained the bottom half of air, it'd still be full, because the bottom half has water, not air. Unless you turned it upside down, in which case, you'd have a lot of draining to do.
