    Soft Metals Hardness

It's all full, the top half is just full of air.

    I need a specific metal

A realistic* possiblity would be iron or copper or some similar raw ore, that, in the molten mantle of the planet, was somehow exposed to some compressed gasses that are lighter than air, (methane, for example) that cause it to bubble up, trapping the lighter than air gasses in a very thin foam...

QUESTION: Achaierai Black Cloud - Poison or not?

DnD is not Pathfinder, but in Pathfinder, it is a poison effect. Achaierai Also, in what I assume is 2nd Ed, it was called a "cloud of poisonous black smoke." http://www.lomion.de/cmm/achaiera.php

    Half-Dragon Skill points confusion.

Pretty sure the half dragon skill points overwrite the base ones. So you get (6 + int) X 5.

    Gray's 1st Question(s)

SRD:Movement - D&D Wiki would give you an idea of what the speeds are of different creatures through different types of terrain, and you can pick whatever timespan you want to be able to cross the range in.

    Gray's 1st Question(s)

I'd say a 36x36 mile swath of land. That would allow him to get from the middle of his range to anywhere in it in a day, following trails and roads as he may have.

    IF Defending stacked

I'm just saying. Dancing Defending Swords. 10 of them.

    stunned freedom of movement

The SRD calls a five foot step a "Miscellaneous Action." So it's not Full/Standard/Move, but it's still an action.

What would be a simple fix for crossbows?

The simplest thing would be to remove all the complicated mechanics, and wooden stock. Then, you simply draw the string back by hand, and let it go when you want to fire. Of course, you'd have to make the bow longer, to get the same or similar amount of energy, by letting the person draw the...

    iaijutsu focus question

Depends. If it's the calm, find your center, move in the right moment thing, yeah, not much for the raging barbarian. I could see it working if you're talking about a volcano or similar metaphor, where the pressure builds, and builds, and builds, until it explodes in one cataclysmic assault...

    Hello All

I want to say 1937 or so. I know it was shortly before WW2, and serialized before being published as a novel.

A magic pool - ideas wanted

Though I think it might help if you could better define what you mean by "mutations." There's plenty of weird stuff that can be done to PCs. But honestly, -1000 XP? That's hard to justify as a mutation. Likewise, can no longer use pronouns. Changing the colors of their hair and skin...

    Explosive Rune Goodness

Yeah. It's a brilliant idea that would be incredibly awesome, if you have a GM who's willing to let you get away with it.

A magic pool - ideas wanted

I think of Level Adjustment as a way of determining power, not of reining it in. Unless you make a theme of power at a price, there's no reason I think you can't just give them some ability without a cost. Treasure is much the same way, I feel. Advantages, either damage, special abilities, or...

    Explosive Rune Goodness

Boccomb's Blessed Bomb. Take a Boccomb's Blessed Book. Fill each page with explosive runes. Toss it at an enemy, then try to dispel the book, and deliberately fail. Watch them all go off at once for 6000d6 force damage, no save.

    Large Longbow Question

Size does not increase range, in the same way that a collossal shortspear does not have reach, despite being probably 10 times the length of a medium longspear.

[and 4th] Feats: What do you use them for?

This question came up when I leveled up recently. I'm playing an Essentials game, but it applies to any game with feats, really. I was torn between two options, one that gave me +2 to Nature, Perception, and Initiative, and the other one which was practically blindsight (with +2 perception)...

    The WOTC OGL?

You should be fine. People mention Illithids, and beholders, and Elminsters (I assume) in their Story Hour recordings, after all. And those aren't covered by the OGL. As long as you're not assembling it into a module for people to buy and play, there's no problem.
