    As a cheap alternative, I can recommend using Warhammer bases. The big square ones are easily stackable and you can paint the edge of it to signify all sorts of conditions.

A situation arose where the party wizard fell into a 10ft pit and wanted to continue firing scorching bursts and magic missiles at the enemies atop him.     What's the difference between Crushing Blow and Reckless Strike encounter powers? I'd wager a bet that Crushing Blow does more than just pure damage, since it's less than Reckless Strike?
