D&D 5E Tyranny of Dragons Getting Republished in Combined Anniversary Volume

I DMed this campaign (though I heavily heavily modified "Rise of Tiamat"), and I'm glad they're re-releasing it. I wonder how much they'll change. "Hoard of the Dragon Queen", basically, is a good adventure. It's very difficult in parts, and very linear, but it's just plain fun -- it has so...

Matthew Sprange, Mongoose Publishing, Discusses Traveller and Paranoia

While I wouldn't go so far as to call this an infomercial, I agree with the other commenters that this would be a lot more interesting if it was a full transcribed interview (ENWORLD: "Tell me about your games" MATTHEW: "Okay, I will now talk about a game"). Or at least if it had full quotes...

    The Roleplayer's Guide To Heists

I didn’t mind the planning time that turned out to be wasted by a few bad die rolls; that’s IC roleplaying time being engaged in coming up with cool plans. But YMMV

    The Roleplayer's Guide To Heists

idk; some of my favorite memories of playing Shadowrun have been when we’d plan a heist and TOTALLY f’ it up. Once our plan hinges on “stealing a truck for a getaway vehicle” and we totally failed at this, got in a fight with truckers, someone died and the whole evening was spent on the blowback...

D&D 5E Dragon Queen Question: Why Not Interrogate the Cultists?

Honestly, what's *really* the most illogical part of "Hoard" to me is why the cultists are bringing the treasure 1000s of miles to the north, just so it can be carried on a floating castle BACK TO THE SOUTH (based on the location of the Well of Dragons on the map... -_-)

D&D 5E Dragon Queen Question: Why Not Interrogate the Cultists?

Hi all, i'm running Hoard of the Dragon Queen and the party is approaching the middle section of the module-- the part where they spy on the cultist caravan going north. looking over the adventure, I have a basic question I don't think is addressed: what's to stop the PCs just using divination...

Looking for Mid-Level Island/Dragons' Cave Adventures

Hi everyone, I'm running a modified "Hoard of the Dragon Queen" where the players are pirates (more or less) and a lot of locations have become islands. Though only 4th-5th level, the players insisted on tracking down the dragon that attacks the town in the 1st chapter of the adventure and so...

New D&D 5e Core Class: The Priest (Bronze Age/Ancient World)

Thank you so much! Yes, it is pretty complicated, isn't it... I hadn't noticed that in the 5e PHB classes never almost never get additional features (beyond the Feat/Ability Score Improvement) at 4th, 8th & 12th level. If I revise the PDF I'll try to be clearer with the titles & layout (and...

Hi everyone, Longtime ENworld reader, first-time poster! I'm a gamer and artist -- you may have seen my D&D Walkthrough Maps on the internet. I've been working for some time on a new D&D5e core class and I wanted to share it here...
