Challenge/Help: Make Me an M&M Werewolf

I definitely want to go low-power. Thanks for the info. Here's info about what I'm planning on running. The player concepts so far are: a psion who can psychically contact computers, a telepath working as a CEO's secretary, a werewolf (thus the thread) who has some of the passive abilities...

Challenge/Help: Make Me an M&M Werewolf

Thaaanks. Alright, let me get very specific: Does anyone know how you acheive transform-into-the-hero effects, such as Thor, The Hulk, Captain Marval (DC), etc. have?

Challenge/Help: Make Me an M&M Werewolf

I'm going to run Mutants & Masterminds this weekend for the first time. I will be running the game on, like, Friday or Saturday and only bought the book today. Watch me walk the tightrope. Ooh and aah. Anyway, one of the players wants to be a werewolf. I'm going low power, so I'm thinking...

    Angel Finale

I liked Angel better than Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I was never much a fan of the lead of either show--I have always loved the backup characters. Anyway, I really enjoyed this finale. Wes's last scene had me crying, and when he got hit I said, "No, not him!" So the finale was great...

D&D Armageddon - Blood Wars End, Sigil Falls to Seige

I heard this old adage put in a very cool new light on Traffic: The Series (on USA, not the original original British one): Me against my brother. My brother and I against my cousin. My cousin and I against the world.

(SPOILER CAUTION) A lot of questions about Buffy the Vampire Slayer

You really need to learn how to express yourself better. "I didn't like it," is just as easy to say as, "it sucked," and not nearly as offensive or likely to cause a flamewar.

    Meta Plot Discussion

Why instead wasn't it the beginning of the end of your days with that GM? Your story was entirely about the war between the Sabbat and the Camarilla, you had the power and the ability to affect the outcome. Why didn't your ST in that chronicle allow you to do what was within your power to do...

    Meta Plot Discussion

I simply cannot fathom why, if you don't intend to use it, a metaplot would be offensive to you (here I am speaking in the indefinite, plural "you", not to any specific person). If the rest of the game is good, you're free to ignore the metaplot, why should it matter to you? I am somewhat...

Mad Irishman's 4-page AU sheet with forms

Thanks to Shinma, we have what I consider to be an excellent final version of the mad irishman sheet, complete with fillin forms. I've submitted it to the diamond throne for consideration. Here it is: http://www.rci.rutgers.edu/~bowell/dnd/ausheetmadirishfillin.pdf And the calcs it auto-does...

Mad Irishman's 4-page AU sheet with forms

A gentleman on the Monte Cook boards has helped me upgrade this file, and so the latest version has taken out some bugs and added a few calcalations (intentionall misspelled).

Mad Irishman's 4-page AU sheet with forms

In fact, to do proper genuflection, here's his site: http://www.mad-irishman.net/

Mad Irishman's 4-page AU sheet with forms

Yes, it's very, very important to note I did very little work here. At least, very little creative work. I'm not the smart guy, I didn't come up with the cool sheets. The Mad Irishman did. I just put forms inside them.

Mad Irishman's 4-page AU sheet with forms

So I took Mad Irishman's Arcana Unearthed sheet, and sat it side by side with his form-fillable D&D sheet, added in my rudimentary Adobe Acrobat knowledge, and have produced this. It does a few more calculations than the extant D&D sheet. For your consideration. Let me know if you see any...

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

Like I said, I don't think the discussion on this point will be very fruitful. You see them as useful, I see them as evidence of caving to the histrionics of "moral" alarmists. And neither of us is going to change the other's opinion. So unless it's to get the last word, what's the point of...

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

I don't think this is going to be a fruitful discussion. I don't think that labels gain anyone anything, that they don't give very much information and instead mostly serve as a thin prophylactic over the fears of people who don't consume the product in the first place, and on the other side...

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

Yeah. It's often not fully voluntary but, rather, something more like "do it before we do it for you." Even if there's been no expressed threat, self-censorship is usually done out of a worry that there would be threats to freedom if the creative body doesn't do it itself.

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason for d20 products to be rated, either.

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

dict Word (? for help): consort Concise Oxford Dictionary, 8th Ed., Copyright 1991 Oxford Univ. Press /consort/1 n. & v. n. <<"kQnsO:t>> 1. a wife or husband, esp. of royalty ("prince consort"). 2. [Naut]a ship sailing with another. -- Then we cut to the verb-definitions, so your DM is...

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

Well, there's rarely the need to warn people off of advanced philosophical debate. WARNING! DESCARTIAN MIND/BODY QUESTIONS AHEAD. PROCEDE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Warning implies threat, danger, scariness. I find it ludicrous that writing about sex and violence in a hobby that very few minors...

Why is The Book of Exalted Deeds for Mature Readers?

Okay, I think a better-expressed version of this question which I should have used from the start is, why is it labeled for Mature Readers Only?
