Have I mentioned that I love you?
To be honest, the movement is one of the few things that I strongly dislike about 4e.
I will probably come to a compromise, and use a grid, with a ruler. If part of your mini-base would overlap on a square, you can be in that one. And just leave it like that...
Its coming down at something roughly approaching its TV, it it made it around 400ft up.
Whether or not that is higher than the 'muzzle' velocity, I'm not sure.
Although the muzzle velocity is not necessarily going to be that much of a huge factor.. 'archer's paradox' where the arror is bent and...
Unless they flavour the Warlord with actual magical healing, this concept will require a cleric in the party, which is one of the things 4th was trying to escape.
This is what I love about arguments like this.. People never actually examine the other person's arguments.
Sit back. Take the other persons position. Work through it. Put aside your preconceptions.
Which one, for all editions, makes more sense? Which edition stands out like a sore thumb?

We have seen Terry Byran catch the flu-flu fletched arrow that was shot to one side of him.
How do you think he would have faired if the archer used a real hunting arrow,at hunting velocities and fired it directly at his chest, and not to one side, with Terry standing there with his hand...
You can probably catch an arrow on a ballistic flight pattern from 200 metres away, if you are lucky. Still unlikely.
You have *no* hope of catching an arrow fired at you from 50 metres away. From a weak bow, it will still have a velocity of 85mph. Catching it required you to close your hands...
Nobody can grab an arrow midflight.. At least, not within an effective straight-shot distance.
Mythbusters successfully demonstrated that it is simple not possible for a human being to close their fingers fast enough.
Deflection of an arrow is a different question.
As for the other...
I'm running with the following..
My PC's will, for whatever reason they choose to pick, have congregated in a largish (10K+) city, that is at the edges of the old Human Empire. The timeframe for this will be during the last moments of the Empires's life, though my PC's won't know this.
I'll...
response about Real world racial stuff removed - PS
Regardless of the individual ethical stance of any given Tiefling, they only exist through a great evil. That's what I didn't like about the comparison.
Otherwise, I'd agree with the concept, Hong.
Please don't bring to the thread something that isn't there. Thanks - Plane Sailing
I dunno.. I like it, I like them, though like somebody else, the first thing I thought of, when I saw the picture, was Draenai.
Finally.
Sheesh. Took long enough.
There are a very few issues that I think will require careful treading in 4ed. By acknowledging that the PCs are a level above the majority of the world, most of these go away.
Hopefully, they've dealt with some of the really world-breaking things from 3.5...
gnomes are too short. That's about it.
They do not fit in to the stat brackets, and they really don't fit with the 'no-negative-racial-penalties.
Gnomes should have no negatives to Str, and a Max str of 12. Tops.
They are 3ft Tall.
They simply don't have the leverage or the density to claim to...
If them DM is unable to exercise the control over the playing field that would prevent this?
Well, I have no nice words to say about that DM.
The 6 hour mechanic is still less broken than Rope-Trick.
You've actually got to camp and rest in the open, where you could be seen/found.. and interrupted.
I agree wit WoTC's bitch.
I mean, I can follow and understand what you say Wolfen, it just doesn't seem to be based on anything, though.
I mean, you have a role to play. One which is thematically and mechanically set, in DND 4e. Within that role, you can do whatever they hell you want. If...
