    JA's - The Borderland Keep

Aldin rides into town on a stout pony with a crew of morose dwarves in loose formation behind him. Each seems tired, weary, as if nursing a brutal hangover. Bastion shakes his head. "I've done a great deal of research, and I feel like I should know something. But this is a perplexing problem. We've all seen skeletons walking the ground..." Alkirk sighs. "These are not rational beings. They cannot be reasoned with. They have occupied our home for far too long. They must be destroyed. If you can convince them to leave peacefully, of course that would be better. But it cannot be done."

    Yedan's Troubleshooters

Despite the slightly frightening prospect of the dead rising from their tombs in droves, Bastion can't help but grin. He's spent the greater part of his adult life failing to bring life back to the fallen, and this is a perfect chance to conduct "experiments." He accepts his papers and gold...

"Yes, ma'am," mutters Bastion without looking up. Then, suddenly, he shows a bit of energy. "What could be the nature of our assignment? You mentioned a haunting earlier. I have a modest amount of experience with such things. Yes, yes, a modest amount. Love a good haunting."

Kiris Alkirk jumps in to respond. We had thought there only eight, but Treona has discovered evidence from a trusted source that there was a ninth stone, a prototype gone unfinished, left within the city. What we intend to do with it is simple. Treona will activate it, and thus kill every...
