    RECRUITING CLOSED! 4ed: The Wolfcrown

HM: I don't want to break up the flow of the IC thread, so I'm letting you know here. Libra is alive, unconscious, but otherwise in good shape.

    A Paid Trip to Spellhold [D&D 4e]

Asterion smiles at Kaedyn. "I still don't trust you, but if you stay with us, perhaps that'll change. This ship is going to need officers and crew when this is over, after all." Asterion looks to his other friends. "What was it that you found in that locked room while we were below deck?"

A Season of Bones - OOC

Everyone please note that the above is not quite right. See my above post for more information. VV, your character is quite cool. Everybody's character right now has a great shot at making it! If we get one more submission before the deadline, I'll close recruitment and narrow it down to 4...

A Season of Bones - OOC

Just to clarify the weapon rules. As in, this is straight from the DM's mouth. This is my official ruling, as it's presented in the book. Metal is incredibly rare, and you won't have access to it unless you find one. Weapons (or implements!) and armor can be made of wood, stone, obsidian...

    A Paid Trip to Spellhold [D&D 4e]

Asterion kicks Kumar's body, then drags it to the port-side railing. He lifts the wicked pirate to the railing, does a quick search of the body's (especially taking any objects resembling a key), and dumps the body overboard. "I commit you to the sea, you spiteful bastard." Asterion pockets...

A Season of Bones - OOC

Good question, Shay. No metal items whatsoever. This won't affect anything mechanically, except that your weapons/implements can break.

A Season of Bones - OOC

It's perfectly okay to double up on roles. Like I said in my top post, it would be good to see at least some role differentiation, and it would be wise for the party to not just be 4 strikers, it's completely up to you what you submit. I'll pick the most interesting characters who have a...

    [4e] The Wolfcrown, Chapter 1

Suddenly, the room goes dark. Although it's the middle of day, you can see nothing. It's as if even the daylight itself was extinguished. You hear a scream - a cry, and then a clattering. You hear a voice - raspy, bitter, and proud. "Give it back, you wretches! Give it back!" In another...

    [4e] The Wolfcrown, Chapter 1

"Protected..." Libra muses on the word as she hands the necklace back. "It's probably worth a pretty penny. You should make sure it doesn't get stolen. Did you find anything out about the phylactery? Captain Scultone said you had some leads."

    Checking Interest - Dark Sun + 4e + Gladiators!

Theroc: A dragonborn would be great! Your character concept sounds like it would fit great with the Templar theme. Basically, they're a caste of soldiers, secret policemen, bureaucrats, and the like - basically the private armies of the individual kings. That might be a good place to start.

A Season of Bones - OOC

So far, so good! Don't forget your Disrupting Shove power. I didn't notice it, but you get it as a free bonus for having the gladiator theme. I like your backstory, too!

    Checking Interest - Dark Sun + 4e + Gladiators!

All of those ideas work for me, Shay. You could simply have it be a new brand of shardmind, but using the crunch of the warforged. Just as easily, you could go with the psychic resonance field, black iron, or anything. Those all sound agreeable to me.

Insight's Dark Sun: Burning Sands Campaign [OOC]

It's ok, WD! It took up a comparatively small space. No worries.

    Checking Interest - Dark Sun + 4e + Gladiators!

Shay: That's a great idea! However, how would you feel about making the character out of something besides metal? After all, metal is incredibly scarce - I'd find it hard to believe it wasn't immediately melted down upon discovery. If you can come up with a good reason for it to be metal and...

Insight's Dark Sun: Burning Sands Campaign [OOC]

But...yes it does! (From my post on page one, from "Kesh's Tale") "Since then, he has been passed along from master to master, finally finding his place in the salt mines, toiling away."

    Checking Interest - Dark Sun + 4e + Gladiators!

That's true, but I've had the books for around 2 weeks. (I thank the stars for living near a premiere store.) I've already had a session of my home campaign, and the setting has really excited my players. To people who don't have the Dark Sun book, it isn't really necessary unless you want a...

You'd certainly be welcome to play a Mul. They're natural gladiators, after all!
