    Why? Did mine come back?

    Races names!

A little more information would be useful. What sort of planar beings are we talking about? Do they tend to be evil, good or neither? Evil beings I give names with a lot of gutteral sounds and X's and Z's. Good beings tend towards sibilants and e, i and o vowels.

Got mine a couple of hours ago. Thanks for letting me know Pandemonium had it. They didn't have that many copies out when I got there.

There will be a second Dungeons and Dragons movie

There's a different director, at least. I haven't checked out too much on the film, given how bad the first one was, but that much did stand out.

    Sell me on Exalted!

True. On the flip side, I wouldn't mind being a tank holding off the Ravening Hordes for two rounds so our spell slinger could get Magma Kraken off. Celestial and Solar Circle Sorcery spells are grotesque.

    Shouldn't that be Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaails!

    Sell me on Exalted!

See, I look at Charms as being a form of spell. Sorcery is what you use when there's a need for something REALLY big and impressive and you have a bit of time to prepare it. Charms are the things you toss around a couple times a round to keep your skin intact and your enemies' not.

    Sell me on Exalted!

This is the best explanation as to why Exalted is fun I've ever seen. You get to be totally over-the-top in an fun way.

Welcome to the Halmae (updated 2/27/07)

Do you REALLY want a caffeine fiend on decaf? Jittery and grumpy, trying desperately to find some other fix to take the pain away? You think they're pushy now...

How often does language come up in your game?

The campaign I play in has a fairly detailed language system, which works well for us. There are a group of major language familys: Draconic Elven Orcish Dwarven Under each family there are a couple of regional dialects, the "diplomatic" version of the family (used in official documents and...

Welcome to the Halmae (updated 2/27/07)

Happy birthday Fajitas. Is it just me, or is the obvious explanation for what happened to Thatch in the night that it was a dream? :sigh: No-one uses Occam's Razor anymore, do they?

(Adventure) A Tidy Profit... [Judge: Uriel]

"We're not precisely sure. The man who was talking about it said something that seemed to be bilge pump. Then he died. He also said to be careful of the lee side. I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the ship, as the lee would change with the wind."

(Adventure) A Tidy Profit... [Judge: Uriel]

Gurian grins and glances towards D'Artagnon. "I can't speak for my companion, but I'd be grateful to have the lot of you. Especially if you have access to magic. When I was in the Reavers, we had a term for missions undertaken without magical support. Failures." He does a double take at...

(Adventure) A Tidy Profit... [Judge: Uriel]

Gurian looks over at D'Artagnan and says, loud enough to be heard on the dock, "I think that we should try to get them to help us. We know Patch, Muscles, and Shorty are up to no good. We know they were willing to murder a man to find what we're looking for and try to pin it on us. Apparently...

Spiked chain + Imp. Trip + Combat Reflexes + Enlarge Person

Wait. What? It's not as if you have to change the bloody rules or anything. There's a reason that there are rules for such unused options as spells and missile weapons in the core books. You're not "changing the way the game is played" in any way, shape or form. The game is played using...

(Adventure) A Tidy Profit... [Judge: Uriel]

"Well, we're granting a last request, sort of. Also looking for evidence we didn't commit a crime we didn't commit," Gurian says. He then winces and shakes his head.

(Adventure) A Tidy Profit... [Judge: Uriel]

"He's with us." Kristoff's player has decided not to continue on this adventure, but I assume that the character is still here for the return of his longsword Gurian shifts his guisarme to his left hand and steps to the dock saying "Who might you be, and on whose business are you?"
