How do you handle fights with Stirges?

If many (6-8 and more) stirges can surprise AND have a higher init than most of the party members.... That's mean they are flat-footed for almost two rounds before they can react! That means LOTS of problems! Sure they are going to be kill soon, but not before draining lots of CON ! I like to...

Do publishers fear the John Cooper review?

This dude is a damn good author and storyteller. He is good at developing plots, fleshing npcs backgrounds/motivations and detailing wicked locations. NG has specialized guys/girls that take care of the d20 mechanics for him. I don't think he is in the wrong business at all.

Necromancer Q&A: Let's ask Orcus some questions!

I think it is cool that NG release so many web supplements for almost each of its products. CoF, ToA, Rappan Athuk, Grey Citadel, Necropolis, etc., each had numerous freebies. I noticed the last couples products mostly had maps booklet. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have those maps on pdf...

Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [This keeps up, I'm gonna need a bigger notebook!]

darakeene Elsewhere than in the CS: Ghelspad, is there a good source of information somewhere (on the net or in a book) about Darakeene ? This region seems so far away than where most of the 'action' is (vesh, mithril, calastia, durrover, hornsaw, ganjus)... What would make Darakeene an...
