    Is this offensive?

I think surviving labor shows evidence of females having a higher con. ;)

    Is this offensive?

That's what I would say were my initial reaction not, "DUDE. Seriously?" The adventurers, regardless of sex, are exceptional. If someone wants to make the -2/+1/+1 a part of their character, whatever. However, that's making a pretty broad assumption of half the population of any race that...

    Familiars as Baby-Sitters

Thread subtitle: "Or: How to get your familiar to resent you." I'd imagine that a familiar as babysitter would be best for when the child hits 9-12 years old. Or, even better, someone to keep an eye on teenager when mom and dad go out of town for the night. I do quite like the idea of abusing...

    opinions of "Asterids parlor"

Where do I start name-calling again? The quotation you use is where I relay an example of real-life experience when a woman (myself) stands up for herself and her sex. Where's your thought? Clearly you haven't been reading. Also, nice work in using a misogynist for your philosophical...

WHY does this bother men so much? Here's an example for you. I belong to Ravelry, a knitting community. Knitting is traditionally a "woman's hobby." However, there are many, many men who knit as well. In fact, there are at least 56 communities within the Ravelry community devoted to male...

    opinions of "Asterids parlor"

You're comparing the female experience to the male experience by assuming that men are the norm. Black, White, Asian, Purple, Catholic, Buddhist, Jewish, Queer, Straight... Women are women are women. And they will not be men and our issues will never be solved if you assume that women need to...

    opinions of "Asterids parlor"

Roguerouge is good at reading my mind. YES. I read the Confessions of a Part Time Sorceress book too. I didn't like it. However, I know why it exists. Unless one knows the experience of a woman in a man's world, one will NEVER fully understand why this forum exists. Being in a minority...

    opinions of "Asterids parlor"

Uh, yeah, but it's still nice to chat with other women with an interest in gaming. Plus, questions like this show me exactly why I can't stand a lot of gaming men and prefer to chat in the company of women.

What's the dump-stat of the modern day work-force?

The MBTA has convinced me that everything is a dump stat nowadays.

A question for the women...a pregnant PC?

I think we're going to need to have a talk... NO BUNS!

A question for the women...a pregnant PC?

Hey, hey now. You can knit without being knocked up and while being a bad-ass warrior princess. ;) (Knitting needles are pointy, after all. "Hey, BBEG! I have a pair of Addi Lace Turbos with your name on them!")

A question for the women...a pregnant PC?

IAWTC. My DM-slash-SO and I had a discussion about this sort of thing, so we're on the same page about pregnancy and my PC. I'm okay with leaving it to a dice roll, but if he sprung "BUN IN THE OVEN! NO SAVE!" on me, I'd be miffed. Not big on the Deus Ex Machina. Also, FWIW, I wouldn't see...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo making a decision

*squee!* They're so CUTE! I hope they kind of go systemless. Or 3.5. Just not straight 4E. That would make me frown.

    D&D 4E Why Keep a Grid? Measurement in 4E

I'd prefer for movement to remain "20 ft." etc. so folks can grid or not grid as they please. I've played both and prefer the grid (hex or square) myself because I need the visual (not just for measuring but for tactics and flanking purposes, mostly). Making "squares" the standard is much too...

Player who can't get the numbers right

That sounds like me. The math doesn't stick mostly because my brain has trouble reading numbers (like dyslexia but with numbers), particularly if 6s and 7s are involved. Pipped dice help but I'm still way slowed down and try to pipe up as soon as I realize I've botched something. :confused...

DCC 0 could probably be done in one session. I was a player in that and had a blast.

    Le Gamers de Femme

Also, it helps if you're not all "ZOMG GIRLZ!" about it. I avoid certain local game shops because I've been hit on, harassed, etc. for "browsing while female." That's tacky and a total girl-gamer turn OFF.
