Reasons for going into the dungeon?

GP, lootz and lutez. Honestly, I do make sure that my characters have in-game reasons to adventure and delve. Even if the reason doesn't make it into any gaming session, I often will write it in narrative. Otherwise, I'd just feel like I have a lost, aimless character and that's no fun...

4E or 3.5 or something else - what's in your future?

I'm a player, not a GM. But I sincerely hope that my current campaigns will remain 3.x. Especially since I'm a bard in one and a skill-point-loving rogue in the other. :p

    Grognards and Ham

HA! I'm pretty much all out against 4e, but this is awesome. :)

    The Goblin Defense Fund

"Me no gobbo. Me gobboLIN!" I *heart* them. They're like ugly little puppies.

DDI: Does it support the non-transgendered adventurer?

I'm even more comfortable with this not being supported by Mac now.

Does Your Game Do Your Brain Good?

I can't even begin to tell you how much gaming has helped me break a very thick writer's block. Keeping character journals has helped me with my other writing and it has definitely helped me with improving character voice and dialogue. I'm not even a fantasy writer, but just creating and...

    Value of Slaves

There's also the argument that it's not possible for an elf girl to be "comely."

    Cheating at the Game Table

The only time I've "cheated" was due to poor arithmetic. I find intentional cheating sad.

    Ethics of Killing POWs

I'm in this party. It kind of came off as a loose cannon move. The way dude is playing CN makes my CN character look downright good. It's embarrassing. :p No in-game reaction from me because I was captured earlier. But as both a player and character, I see that sort of move in really poor...

    Drugs In Your Campaign World

I play in an Age of Worms campaign and Kalamanthis is widely used. These are the effects the DM sent out to us: Kalamanthis Sap: extracted from the pulverized root and crushed in a mortar, kalamanthis root is a potent narcotic when injected into the bloodstream. It quickly metabolizes into a...

Why aren't flat chested women ever barmaids?

Tips. The busty barmaids make more tips. The not-so-busty ones get frustrated and quit. Survival of the bustiest. :p /former waitress. //kidding... mostly.

    d6: pips or numbers?

Some folks like me don't really "count" the pips. I look and see the pips and it just translates to the number. Rolling sneak attack dice or the 4d6 for stats goes more quickly for me with the pips and actual counting happens with the numbers. We're just wired differently. :)

The Best & Worst of 3rd Edition: WotC Core Rules & Bestiaries (Winners Announced)

Am I the only one who likes Complete Scoundrel? The PrCs are a yawn, but I love skill tricks. And hidden weapons.

Success of a Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress

That may be it. I was kind of looking forward to funny insights into the game from the female point of view. Rather, I found it a Cosmo-Guide-to-the-PHB. :\

Why Have You Left A Game or Campaign?

Another player broke up with me (we were dating). And I graduated and moved away. I guess that counts as "incompatibility." :uhoh:

    d6: pips or numbers?

I gotcha. For me, numbers are difficult to conceptualize for me. I have to look at them as sort of pictograms. For example, a four has four points and a five as having five points. 6, 8 and 9 are trouble. Higher function mathematics, trig, calc... I don't have trouble with them. But...
