    I think burst 2 would be a good size. Big enough to be a threat but small enough that it doesn't hit everyone. I suggested bringing it to the smaller damage expression because that is what the DMG suggests for AOE. Unfortunately I haven't played enough to tell you how much changing these numbers...

    The PDF looks really nice, good job. Here are my thoughts on it. 1. I really like Looking for Blood. 2. Because it is an AOE I would recommend dropping Agony on the Army to the Low Limited Damage Expression. 3. I'm not really certain why they are resistant against cold or immune to disease...

    Where are the Unarmed Combat rules?

    That gave me a cool idea about creating a rogue that just wields a single weapon but picks up Two-Weapon Fighting and Two-Weapon Defense. He calls it dirty fighting and the fluff is things like throwing dust in the enemies eyes and generally using his free hand to to mean things.

    So far I like it. Making the player side of the challenge very simple is a nice touch. Am I right is saying that each player will get three rolls during the skill challenge?

    Considering the only RAW ability that allows you to do that is the level 30 Archmage ability I would say it is possible but very powerful.

    Pre-Cast Rituals?

    The biggest abuse I can see is Raise Dead. I could easily see a party using it to raise people from the dead in the middle of combat instead of taking the normal eight hours. However I really like the magic tattoos idea.

    Unless you would really want Aragorn as a striker instead of a leader or defender why wouldn't you just make him a fighter or warlord? Just because Aragorn is called a Ranger wouldn't mean his class is Ranger. I think Warlord would fit him better with all the healing mojo he has going for him...

    The Death Save is a special case which says if you don't have a healing surge then your condition don't change.

    Player's Handbook page 295. 1-9 - One Strike, get three strikes and your out. 10-19 - No change, but you still need to roll next turn. 20 - You get to spend a healing surge. If you don't have a healing surge then it sucks to be you, roll again next turn. EDIT: Run from the Ninja!

    If he is captured by really powerful people (level 20+) then the cell could have Forbiddance on it (Level 20 Ritual). Also the Eladrin teleport in per encounter not at will.

    The combination of the Aura and the weapon damage resistance makes this creature a really nasty level 1. I would say he is at least an elite.

    A 14th level human cleric is a 14th level creature. (1000 xp) If you turn the Level 14 Artillery Cyclops Impaler into a Cleric he becomes a level 14 Elite. (2000 xp) PS. Sorry for the double post.
