I thought that too when the first draft was being tossed around. However it becomes difficult to get less than a one in twelve chance on a d12. The only thing I can think of is do one entry called alien, and then within that roll for extraplanar or alien kingdom or like the raised by wolves...

Dang, I didn't think about that. You get the big stuffed garfield for nailing it. Sure enough, I do have M&M, I looked through it and there it was. I remembered d20 roughly, and the split BAB, but thought it was one of my fantasy books that it came from. Well, that certainly puts a kink in things.

All very good points Li. The plan as of right now is to normalize skill points - everyone gets the same number, regardless of class. The rogue still has his skill advantage over other classes but because of his wide range of class skills, not because of a larger pool of skill points. Meanwhile...

Another issue that I keep running into is that despite everything, without some artificial cap on Weapon skills, attack bonuses are going to quickly outstrip AC.
