No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

I would just like to note that, for the first time in the existence of the book, book of 9 Swords wasn't included on the omfg itz so twinkz listing.

No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

No problem at all, if you have any questions/etc, feel free. And, if it's just too much...I've got a good idea for a Shadowbane Stalker rolling around, if you'd rather see that.

No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

A quiet warrior from far-travelled lands, his original home was victim to the Blood War and he has spent his years since exacting his vengeance against any fiend or devil that he can find. With Fiendslayer and his enhanced Dagger, not to mention his unparallelled mastery of the 9-fold Way, he...

No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

Darimaus, this is where I'm sitting so far. SBlock'd to save space. I'll have the rest of the gold spent and maneuvers figured out/written up tonight. Salimesh (CR 20) Human Warblade 15, Master of Nine 5 CG Medium Humanoid Init +7; Senses Listen +12, Spot +12 Languages Common, Elven AC 43...

No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

I'll begin picking out maneuvers and whatnot, should be finished by either late tonight or tomorrow morning.

No Man's Land (Recruitment Closed... Sort of)

I wouldn't mind playing if there's still a slot. Been wanting to try out a high level pbp for a while now. Roll 1 Roll 2 (Argh, a 79) Roll 3 (85 Makes it) Concept and character will come shortly, if there's still room. Hrm. I was thinking initially about a Warblade (Book of 9 Swords) 20, or...

    9th level maneuvers

Time Stands Still, but since there is a lacking of that on the board, Creeping Five Palm Ultimate Dragon Striking Cobra Fist of Flaming Punch of Enervating Death! ...or...whatever it's called...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Monk 3.5

Honestly, that's all you need. Once your flurries let you surpass the Fighter in number of attacks per round, you can constantly find yourself surrounded by prone opponents rising to their feet on their turn. That, people trying to get away from the flanked position you put them in, and...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Monk 3.5

Or if you're planning on taking Improved Trip instead of Improved Disarm (Which you shoud :) ) Then, you get to many AoO's it isn't even funny.

    A Potent Hexblade

Your Hexblade caster level is equal to half of your class level (Unless I'm mistaken). Practiced Spellcaster gives you up to +4 Caster level, putting you at 10 (Maximum level) +4 (Practiced Spellcaster) = 14. Unless I'm mistaken about te Hexblade's caster level, that is.

    A Potent Hexblade

I'm playing a Hexblade right now in a PbP with the following stats: 12/14/12/14/10/16 You could reverse the Strength and Dexterity (Relying on Gloves of Dexterity +4 later on in your career), and move the Intelligence down 1 point to split 13's with Constitution and Intelligence so you're...

    A Potent Hexblade

I think Charisma should be your second highest stat, due to the fact that both Intimidate and your Curse DC are based off of it. As for feats, there are two that are almost too important to be without. Ability Focus: Hexblade's Curse (MMI): It raises the DC by 2, putting it about the average...

Generic Human Warblade 1: Feat Elimination Round 2 - Skill Bonus Feats

I have to echo Nifft. Out of that listing, Skill Focus: Concentration will play an important key in every one of the Warblade's fights, moreso if you continue to pick up Diamond Mind Maneuvers.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Monk 3.5

I am currently playing a Monk (Monk6/Shou Disciple 3) in GwydApLlew's table-top game, and I have to share several observation's that I have made during the course of the game. Armor Class is (usually) very easy to come by. Admittedly I had started with exceptional stats for my character...

    Rogue/Swordsage help.

The problem you will run into is that neither Rogue or Swordsage is a favored class for Elves. You'll need to keep them within one level of each other, or you'll be running into experience penalties. I have a personal dislike of taking 1 level of Rogue when Evasion...

    A Pirate's Mid-Life Crisis (build advice?)

3.0 Duelist is worth a level dip if your Intelligence modifier outweight any armor bonus you can get at the time. Full Canny Defense at 1st level is quite a draw, ya know. But, if you've access to a Mithral Chain Shirt +1, and no Bracers of Armor +Whatever, it's a poor poor option. 3.0 Dread...

    Orb spells and Mettle

I have to agree, in a way, with every single post that has been put into this thread. But, (And I know I'm ignoring RAW) in response to the Baleful Polymorph question, I see it like this. The Hexblade is, as a function of the Class, resistant to spells and spell-like effects (2nd Level...

    Wounding Weapon Quality

Agreed. Two +1 Shortswords of Wounding in the hands of a Rogue with Arterial Strike (Give up sneak attack dice to do 'bleed' damage), or a Ranger hitting his favored enemy, is something to behold during the first round of combat. However, for a single weapon fighter? +2 is just about right...

Necklace of Fireballs - what's "simultaneous" detonation?

Personally? No save, all dice at once. Reflex saves from fireballs are based on your ability to somehow avoid the explosion. When you're wearing a Necklace of Explosive Decapitation, there's really no way to avoid the explosion, since's it's sitting there prettily on your chest and shoulders.

    Where would you put it?

One of the other players in a game I was in was planning on placing his phylactery in a chandelier of finely cut gems...all with Continual Flame cast on them, and Nygul's Aura/Permenancy on it, to lower the percieved magical power of it so that it would blend in. Oh, you think to crush all...
