Besides, if you want to do Hustler: the RPG, you'd want to go OGL anyway so you can put in character creation rules.
(Eric's grandma probably wouldn't appreciate my description of how to roll dice, so I'll just leave that out for now. ;))
Unfortunately, there's something that's been bothering me about the idea of alternative logos. Maybe you have a better answer for this than I do.
Let's say I'm a publisher. I've got a line of books, I don't want to use the regular D20 logo, and I'm interested in using yours.
If I use your...
That's not quite accurate. They can force you (the publisher) to tell distributors and retailers to destroy existing copies that violate the license. The distributors and retailers are under no legal obligation to do any such thing.
As far as I can tell, the only reason that clause exists is to...
I'm probably one of the ones you've seen, but "Yo." anyway.

And FWIW, I think the agent is right to shoot for that goal. Why do the project unless it raises the prestige and value of the series as a whole?

Also, if I haven't said so already, this is a fantastic book! It's...
Having now received and leafed through it, I can confirm it is juicy. Lots of neat stuff, including what looks like some very cool campaigning and adventuring ideas.
I gotta say that even though it's not strictly in-the-universe for Warcraft, a tinkering cleric would be very cool.
Not least because you just know there are no atheists in gunpowder factories. :)
(Holy hand grenades, anyone?)
