    Gods, paladin, and clerics.

Thanks to Nyaricus for the update about the pally... In regards to the first part of your arguement - Paladins are held in strict training areas, taught the scriptures of their gods... here is where they are taught whatever moral structure they might need to know. (Oh, I didn't clearly cover...

    Bokken (Japanese Wooden Practice Sword)

Obviously you've never been hit by one. It's easily hard enough to crack open a skull -EASILY. My friend decided to test this theory and have one of our friends fight him with it(that ended in a fractured knee and broken arm... hey, he insisted.). They're constructed of Cherry Wood (A more hardy...

    Neo-inspired class needes tweaking

Firstly, both of ther above commentors are completely right. No offense, but the title shouldn't be "Neo-inspired class needs tweaking" it should be "Neo-inspried class needs a severe revamping... Here's my advice: Hit Dice vs. Abils: you can do one of two things: Either make him weaker Hp...

    Gods, paladin, and clerics.

Heya everybody. Alright, I started this thread in regards to a problem with a certain paladin mercilessly beating a halfling prisoner to death. I would like to know how DMs deal with certain... justifiable actions that a paladin could possibly do. I deal with them in this way: At creation, I...

    Broken Bones

***--~ Firstly, If this sounds offensive, I pre-apologize ~--*** Alright, i think that a cleric SHOULD be able to heal broken bones. But if you want to make it special, make them make a Heal Skill check, a higher DC depending on the severity of the breakage, THEN casting heal spells. In my...

    Now I've seen everything

That... is... SO... BROKEN! The Tarrasque's enough of a Beast. Why confound problems? This is ridiculous. Hilarious... but ridiculous.

The Paladin killed someone...what to do?

Well - it would depend upon the paladin's God. I have a God in my own World Called Volark, God Of Righteous Fury... he'd approve. But Most other Gods wouldn't... so Paladin-boy isn't a Paladin anymore - dead fact.

    Draconomicon Errata

Actually, it was. It came out almost a month before D&D 3.5 did... more or less.

Commoners - thorns in arrogant PC's sides

I LOVE those ideas... they're great. I've had problems with these kinds of things with MY group... just wait until next time... ho ho ho!

    Not exactly a munchkin..

But that COULD be fixed... arrows and a magic spell or two - remember, historically, the spear-wall/shieldwall became highly ineffective after cannon/guns were invented... a well placed fireball, technically nobody could maneuver well. Any well played Mage/Sorc would find it all too perfect -...

Running a "Dawn of the Dead" zombie game in d20 D&D?

Oi... if you want to try to adapt it, I say go for it, use the advice from the guys above. But I say you try to talk them into a good ol' Modern game. Do you have the stuff you'd need for it? Because if you promised them all a good game if they'd just give you a chance, keep it believable (No...

    Do you fear weakness?

I'd have to agree with everyone else, the only characters that you need to worry about are a cannon fodder dwarf, or a melee rogue with low Con/Dex/Str. Most other thigns can be used wisely to offset any weakness they might have...

    Cleric Looking to go EPIC..help?

I agree with Feadin. Also, 8 Int? Your character can't even speak correctly. Next time you get to add an ability point (4 levels from now, if I'm not mistaken.) add one to Int, to eliminate that -1. (It'll be +- 0, but that's better than subtraction.) Anyways, you might want to choose a weapon...

    Valiant Prestige Class -- comments?

Please note, Robjh, that in the Draconomicon the Dragon Slayer is also a combat-oriented PrC, but they still don't gain any proficiencies. I say that you make him IMMUNE TO FEAR (either at level 5, or level 1-5 somewhere around there) as well as granting him a +whatever bonus to other saving...

    My take on sorcerer

Okay, seeing as how you are named "The Druid Merlin" I'm going to just take it that you aren't a Progressive/Conservative Christian. Anyways, I don't agree with the whole "Sorceror's are evil" thing. They're there to allow for a different type of spell casting, I say you make this a Prestige...

Does anyone NOT use this house rule?

Ummm... I don't get it. (I get the rule, just...) I've never heard of this rule. It sounds idiotic, it's not like getting more intelligent would let you "remember" something about a skill you hadn't even learned before, because that's the idea, a higher Int allows you to learn more things...
