And this here is exactly why I can't wait to see stats for kytons in the 4e MM (hopefully, they're in there!). This sort of room, with a chain devil or three just walking unimpeded through the chains while the PC's get pureed? Ohboyohboyohboy. Poor PC's.

As far as I can tell, it's more that they're creatures who look like and can take on some attributes of statues, as opposed to man-made statues that have come to life (like a golem). Of course, that's not to stop some enterprising wizard from making constructs that look like gargoyles and...

Eh... not too fond of the Ettin. Then again, I never was too fond of the Ettin, regardless of what it looked like - although the double initiative is a good idea. The Gargoyle, however, is pretty sweet, and despite my initial reservations I like the way the "resist all" works.

Very nice work. God, I love that an entire monster can be condensed down to this sort of format and not lose any significant crunch to it.
