The reflex save is there exactly for that reason, this is a class that is supposed to be suited for a ranger, rouge or monk (all equal options), not a front-line fighter or a caster. It's meant to help show a change in the direction of a character post a very traumatic experience.
I'm playing a Warlock in my current game, and type of character I'm playing is very much the Spawn type, someone sold to evil power who wants to try and destroy that power. To properly illustrate this, I wanted to take a prestige class that would give my character the Spawn feel. Many of Spawn's...
I haven't been able to check the site in a week, so pardon me if I missed the site redesign, but where did the on-line gaming toolbox go? That had a bunch of great links aggregated in one place that was easy to use at the gaming table.
Quick side note here (mostly because my players won't read this, and I've already hinted at it), The tomb was created by a powerful spellcaster who's still around and a major player in the world now, though no one has any idea he's that old.
They're 4th. So your given examples would probably be a very good way to find myself with a TPK. I will look at those books to try and find something to use.
I forgot to mention in my first post the whispering. They are hearing things down there, a voice.
If there is a Lich down there, then...
My party has just tripped upon a buried tomb. They entered through a buried skylight into a 30x30' room with 4 corridors leading off from each wall. Each Corridor is 100' long with sarcophagi set into the walls.
The east corridor had something sparkling at the end of it, so they sent an...
The purpose of the ability is to let them use spells like Animal growth, enlarge animal, and dominate animal on Magical Beasts and Aberrations.
From first level they have a magical beast as a pet, and they can change it into an aberration if they want to.
Creature Affinity sounds like it might...
I'm working on a custom class for my game, and I need to try and come up with a name for a pair of his abilities. The class is called the Biomancer, and their shtick is biological modification magics and a Chimera pet. In some regards they are a kind of Anti-druid, with a strong focus in...
There's a solution to this kind of situation that my group's been using for a while now. It was published in Spell Compendium, a spell called Last Breath.
I'm not the owner of the book, nor do I have access to it at work, but what I think it does is it brings someone back from the dead at 0 if...
It sounds like they plan to take a ship for as far as it will take them, and then try and navigate the remaining distance themselves. There are few human settlements in the area, the area ranges from neutral to unfriendly towards humanity, so they can't jump from port to port.
I'm not sure what...
My players have got a very interesting situation that they are trying to deal with. They've been hired to clean out an abandoned wizard's tower. But the Tower is around 1400 miles away across a crowed archipelago that puts anything in our world to shame. They're only 3rd, so I don't think I can...
Some of these programs are nice, but I was looking for something that might be a little more platform neutral or on the web. I'm not really looking to robustly design a new character, just blend the race and Jamie Buck's NPC generator.
Tried PC gen, didn't do what I wanted it to.
In my game that I'm running, a major villain in the first arc of the campaign is an army of uplifted simians who have decided to kill their creators. There are several different kinds of simians of various sizes. I've decided to use goblinoids for them, but I want the ability to generate classed...
Is there a good program to do large-scale rpg mapping for OSX? I know of dundjinni, but some people here have mentioned that it is rather poor at global or continental scale modeling.
