Would you need to see the spot wall of fire is cast on? In my example 6 hill giants are a arrow slots (the tiny windows of a fortress that people shot out of during seiges, sorry had a brain fart and can't remember what they are called) in a fortress firing on the party, the wizard is oustside...

I see how that can work they do step out from under the bridge and have a 10ft reach so if the character was within 5ft of the side of the bridge they would be already in reach and would not need to move in they are already in. So does anyone know where the rule is for pulling a grapple...

the giant is under the bridge and I wanted it to take the character off the bridge and try and drown a character. So how would I go about doing this? Should I just do apposed strength check for the character and giant as he wants to pull him off the bridge?

I had a hill giant under a bridge grapple a character, now it says I have to move in to continue the grapple can I make a strength check and pull the character off the bridge?

I think part of the reason you have to write the spells into your own spellbook is because you write them in a unique way so that you can memorize it later fairly easily. While you've deciphered the spell from another book and were able to learn it, to memorize it from that book would mean...

The vampire the group fought against was running away in gaseous form they used a daylight spell to destroy it. Would the 2 magic items it had on it drop to the ground or be destroyed also?

Quick question, do ability score increasing magic items stack, such as a headband of Intellect (+2) and an iode stone (+2 int) for a total of + four?

The encounter went well, the group killed the big bad vampire but he put up a really great fight. The battle took over 3 hours (closer to 4) to do and that's what you remember the most, the villians you beat and how hard the fight was :) Thanks for the help.
