I agree with most of the others. You as the DM did everything right, the players should have thought this through a little more. I would have even docked the party XP for not even bothering trying to get their compatriot back.
If you are looking for a decent non FX D20 Modern game look into Swords Edge Publishing, they have some decent stuff out there for more realistic gaming.

Could someone post what a stat block of a weapon would look like(i.e. MP5, AK47, Glock17)? When Spycraft 1.0 came out initially with their generic weapons I cringed big time. I am wondering if I will do the same for 2.0?
Ver 1 over complicated things but Ver 2 was a lot of fun. Thanks for the fond memories...Now if I could get my group away from 3.5 D&D and into this then I would be laughing :lol:
From what I have seen of the book I have really enjoyed it. The only things I have issues with is the artwork. It reminded me of something a bunch of 10 year old boys would do. I also would have liked it if they statted out the starships.
I always thought the Draka series would make an excellent D20 game, now if I ever get around to working on it for my players thats another story.
