WotC is *NOT* Evil: THE FINALE

I think your second response looks pretty damn whiny and troll-esque as well. Here's what they told you: This means no. It's what I'd call unambiguous. They are not obliged to give you stuff for free, even if you really want them to. I'd sum up the discussion you posted not as "Why WotC is...

    Essentials Rogue is up!

You can? The power text is: It doesn't say anything about source of combat advantage at all. What am I missing?

How will Essentials integrate with the CB?

I just had a look at the Source:Essentials on the compendium. The powers listed are all ones that are in both the PHBs and Essentials:HotFL. They are: Bless, Shield of Faith, Cure Light, Serious& Critical Wounds, Weapon of the Gods, Divine Armor, Heal and Purify. No idea why they're in the...

    Lolth!

Actually, that's half of Lolth. They don't list the Spider Queen form, only say she turns into it. Edit: and after seeing what the paragon party I'm DMing through Scales of War does to poor solos, I looked at that and thought "against a level 30 party, I wonder if she'd ever get an action."

Is necromancy evil or only as harmless as talking to your dead grandmother?

Well I'm not sure I'd mind them so much when used by the Properly Constituted Authorities(TM), but I'd definitely be more worried at hearing some guy is an specialist in the Roofie School than hearing they're a necromancer.

What articles do YOU want written for Dragon and Dungeon?

Ah yes, I should have checked to see where Chris Youngs had ended up in the latest game of musical chairs. What has Steve Winters said so far?

What articles do YOU want written for Dragon and Dungeon?

With that in mind, Chris Youngs put up a blog comment at the beginning of April about what sort of submissions he does and doesn't want to see: From the sound of it, he doesn't seem interested in new builds.

Is necromancy evil or only as harmless as talking to your dead grandmother?

I find the spells of the Mind-Rape Enchantment School to generally be worse than Necromancy.

Carrots and Whips to Encourage Player/Character Cooperation

I think the Carrot and Whip approach is the right one: First: produce the carrot and tell them where you're going to shove it if they keep acting like gits. Second: whip them. Whip them good. Apart from that, the Paranoia suggestion sounds about right.

Players dissatisfied with level of danger in 4e

If the DM is going to a lot of trouble to make encounters as deadly as possible, I guess not. But I expect he'll have to make encounters increasingly higher than the party level as you get into paragon.

Players dissatisfied with level of danger in 4e

I think part of the reason for the different experience is the levels you're playing at. In the two campaigns I've seen, the heroic tier was markedly more dangerous for the PCs than paragon. At heroic, it was routine for characters to be making death saves; at paragon, maybe one character has to...

What are Avengers doing since SOC got nerfed?

Radiant Servant still get Solar Flare, the Epic-tier-encounter-power-at-level-11. That's something else I'd like to see them errata.

    Next Adventure Path?

My only experience with Paizo (Age of Worms) was no better. As a player, AoW felt like it was written for the DM to read, not for the players to play. My reason for suggesting tier-length APs isn't the attention span of the designers but the sheer length of time it takes to play through the...

    Next Adventure Path?

Well you've got my support. I think 5-6 encounters per level is about right.

    Next Adventure Path?

For 4e I'd like tier-based adventure paths: Heroic, Paragon and Epic as separate plot lines.

    PHB 3 Feat List

I wish they did that with a lot more feats! I just had a look at the Compendium and noticed that the Paragon tier feats I was thinking of were all the armor specialization feats, which obviously won't be clashing with this one. So there really isn't much of a downside. And Avengers get their AC...

    PHB 3 Feat List

WotC have actually previewed the Unarmored Agility feat on their Customer Help Page. The only thing that isn't in the feat list is that it gives a +2 feat bonus to AC, so it won't stack with the (mainly Paragon tier) feats that also give feat AC bonuses.

What is, by consensus opinion, obviously broken?

Well, "broken" is a word which seems to change meaning depending on on the phase of the moon. :) For this thread, I'd define a "broken rule" as one that fails to do what the designers said they wanted to do in 4e. So, say, the game using miniatures is a legitimate complaint but it doesn't...

    Siloing: Good or Bad?

This is pretty much my take. I think it could even have more than just combat and non-combat silos: combat, exploration and social would I think cover most campaigns. If the progression for each silo is entirely separate, a game could then add on optional silos like crafting or domain management...

    Race Elimination Round 4!!!

Sorry, I meant to vote Longclaw... I voted against the Razorclaw Shifter, not Longtooth. My problem with the Razorclaw Shifter is that they have the same stat bonuses as elves, they have the same "fast nature-boy" theme as elves, and we already have elves in the PHB1 as one of the iconic races...
